Very EMOTIONAL News!!! Patsy Kensit’s honest feelings on EastEnders as she drops huge return hint

Patsy Kensit has shared her honest feelings about her time on EastEnders, dropping a massive hint about what she would say if she were asked to return. In what would be the culmination of a 40-year ambition, Patsy played Emma Harding, the mother of the late Lola Pearce-Brown (played by Danielle Harold), in the long-running soap.

Cast in 2023, Patsy, who was then romantically connected to property tycoon Patric Cassidy, with whom she split in 2024, noted that she wasn’t “encouraged” to take the role in the much-loved BBC show.

An actress and singer by trade, Patsy is a former child star who has also appeared in Emmerdale as Sadie King and Faye Byrne in Holby City, but EastEnders was what she described as a “dream job”.

In a tantalising hint about her future aims on the Second Act with Ateh Jewel podcast, 57-year-old Patsy said: “I’d love to go back on EastEnders. That to me was a dream job.”

Patsy added: “I was in a relationship at the time, and it wasn’t something that, you know — it wasn’t really a job that I was encouraged to take, and I’ve wanted to be on that show for the last 40 years.”

She also shared insights into her time on the iconic show, noting how she filmed nine episodes that she said “went really well”. However, Patsy “put life stuff first”, admitting that she knew she’d “regret” it when it happened.

In other news, Patsy, who has a son named James with Simple Minds singer Jim Kerr and another named Lennon with Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, has confessed that her children flying the nest had “broken” her heart.

Meanwhile, Patsy, who has been married four times, has reportedly been enjoying the single life. In 2024, she even admitted that she was “not interested” in a relationship but does “believe in love”.

Her former marriages were to Dan Donovan in 1988, followed by Jim Kerr in 1992, Liam Gallagher in 1997, and Jeremy Healy in 2009, although they ultimately split just 10 months later.

She was also engaged to Patric Cassidy, with the proposal taking place at Scott’s in Mayfair, but they parted ways only months later.

Speaking to Hello! last year, she said: “I wouldn’t want a relationship, I am not interested. I do believe in love.”

She went on to reveal: “But for me it’s not something I need. I have been on my own a long time and I like my own company. Now, it’s just adjusting my life to fill the hole that’s in my soul.”

Opening up previously to the Mirror, the Lethal Weapon 2 actress revealed that she didn’t speak to her ex-husbands, but explained that she wanted her sons to have a “really good relationship” with their fathers.
