Coronation Street‘s Lisa has found herself in a difficult place recently with the two loves of her life. Becky recently returned to the Street after her loved ones had previously believed she was dead.

With fiancée Carla Connor currently in Ireland, Lisa went through a hard time when daughter Betsy was arrested for damaging a police car. But Lisa’s estranged wife Becky came to Betsy’s rescue, presenting evidence that Betsy was wrongfully arrested.

Unwinding after the news, Becky and Lisa sat on the sofa with a glass of wine each, and quickly started to reminisce about their relationship before Becky disappeared.

The pair get closer and shared an emotional embrace, just as Betsy walked in with Roy. Lisa reassured the cafe owner that what he saw was nothing romantic.

“What you walked in on there, I need to explain that it wasn’t anything. It’s been a trying day and we were both a bit down so I just gave her a hug, that’s all. I’d never want to do anything to hurt Carla, you know that. I love her,” she said, but Roy awkwardly made an excuse and left.

Later on, she found him in the cafe, and Roy asked her outright if she was still in love with Becky.

“Yes, I still love Becky,” she said. “It was easy to pretend at first, what with the shock and the hurt and dealing with everything. I love Carla, I love her so much.

“I’ve never felt like that about someone, apart from Becky. She was my first proper steady girlfriend. We meshed together so well at work, then Betsy.

“We used to think it didn’t matter how much we’d fall out because we’d always be together. Then she… now she’s back.”

She continued: “If I love them both, who do I love more? Who do I want to be with now and the rest of my life? It’s Carla, 100 times Carla. But being around Becky…”

Roy cut in that it was time Becky went back to Spain.

Becky told Lisa that she was already planning on returning to her home abroad as she felt like she’d already outstayed her welcome, but unbeknownst to Lisa, Becky had told Betsy she was welcome to join her.

In a conversation later, Betsy told her mum she wanted to join her in Spain, adding she still needed to talk to Lisa about it.

Becky added: “We could work on her together and maybe steal her away with us too.”

Her plan to get Lisa and Betsy back, while ousting Carla, seems to be set in motion.
