STREETS AHEAD All the unanswered Corriedale questions after epic soap crossover episode
IT was the ultimate soap event that saw fans of both Coronation Street and Emmerdale tuning in for one of the most dramatic hours in soap history.
Corriedale proved a triumph on ITV with fans left on the edges of their seats from both the hour-long crossover as well as their respective individual episodes which set the scene for the rest of the night’s drama.

Across the entire cohort of episodes, fans witnessed THREE killings, an emotional cancer diagnosis, a shock shooting, a fake identity hint, a mystery newcomer as well as a return from the dead.
But in amongst the chaos and confirmation of several story arcs – many questions were also left unanswered.
Here, The Sun takes a look at some of the theories, questions and summaries that have got fans talking.
Who Killed Ray Walters?

From the get-go, Emmerdale fans were left shook to see Ray Walters corpse being seemingly dragged out in the open air.

Last week, Ray finally snapped and murdered his mum Celia as well as allowing April Windsor to finally escape after months of torture as long as she stayed away from the village.
He had hoped to pursue a romance with Laurel Thomas who had fallen for his charm over the last few months.
But when Dylan finally told Laurel everything about Ray, she insisted she never wanted to see him again in an explosive confrontation.
During last night’s Emmerdale, Ray could be seen dead having been killed by a mystery attacker.
Throughout the episode, a number of people appeared to be suggested as potential killers – Rhona, Marlon, April, Ross and Laurel.
But were any of them truly responsible for his murder?

Another suspect appeared to be Jai Sharma with the businessman seen driving one of the vans from the depot during Corriedale.
It was later confirmed that Ray’s corpse was inside the van but Jai appeared to be unaware of this.
So just how exactly did Ray end up in the back of Jai’s van?
Graham Foster is alive!

In the biggest shock of all, Graham Foster was confirmed to be alive – six years after he was seemingly killed by Pierce Harris.
Throughout Corriedale, a hooded figure dressed in all black with a balaclava on could be seen driving around a van.
In the back of the van was a girl who was tied up and being held hostage.
Eventually, amid the chaos of the car pile-up, she escaped – at the same time, the hooded figure was seen staring at Joe Tate on the floor.
When it was confirmed the figure was indeed Graham – many were left flabbergasted given his on-screen death.
Now, questions are being asked about how he has really survived despite his death scenes appearing on-screen.
Rhona’s Mystery Phone Call

As speculation regarding Ray’s killer loomed, Rhona could be seen appearing to panic.
During one tense moment, Rhona could be seen making a phone call to a mystery individual.
She said down the line of the phone: “I am trying not to freak out but, have you done it?”
It has sparked some fan theory that she could have been on the phone to Ray’s killer.
One likely option could be Graham following his dramatic return.
Graham and Rhona were in a relationship and he seemingly died at the hands of her ex-husband turned rapist, Pierce Harris.
He did his best to protect Rhona from Pierce and even left a sum of money to her upon his ‘death’.
But with the revelation he is now alive, could Rhona have known all along?
Kim Tate’s mystery flowers

During the opening moments of Emmerdale, Kim could be seen purchasing a bunch of white flowers.
Although it seemed innocent, following Graham’s comeback, speculation is rife that this could have been a clever clue that she knew all along that he was alive.
Kim famously placed a single white flower – the same as the bunch she purchased – on Graham’s coffin in 2020.
She also insisted that she organise a private funeral and was the sole attendee with nobody else present.
The link between her mystery flowers and Graham’s return has left some to insist she knew he was alive all along.
Who is Jodie?

Another one of the big questions following the fallout is who the mystery girl in the van was.
According to the show’s credits, her name is Jodie and she is expected to join Coronation Street despite being held hostage by Emmerdale’s Graham Foster.
With almost no detail as to how she got there, Jodie’s existence and relevance is almost all a mystery.
However, a clue appeared to link her to Shona Platt.
Both Jodie and Shona appeared to share similar tattoos.
According to newly-released spoilers, Jodie will take an interest in the Platt family in the coming weeks so is there more to Jodie and Shona than meets the eye?
Jai Sharma’s true identity

Despite appearing to be a light-hearted moment, fans have already been suggesting that Jai Sharma may not be who he says he is.
This comes after his character was spotted by Coronation Street’s Steve McDonald in his van following the crash.
Steve was left gobsmacked as he appeared to recognise the figure as “someone I used to work with”.
However, he quickly brushed it off owing to the chaos of what had just occured.
But fans will recall that Jai Sharma actor Chris Bisson played Steve’s colleague Vikram Desai in Weaherfield between 1999 and 2002.
It therefore hinted that Jai could actually be Vikram.
