During the episode, some recruits sustained injuries and others chose to leave the course entirely. But one scene, in particular, caught everyone’s attention when Sister Wives star Kody Brown found himself caught in the middle of the chaos. Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, Season 4, has continued to deliver physically demanding and emotionally intense moments for its celebrity participants. Before the infamous “Murderball” round, the recruits had already been put through a string of punishing endurance challenges. The directing staff made it clear that anyone who failed to meet the standard would have their armband removed and their time on the show would come to an end.

The day began with an overhead Bergen carry followed by a brutal desert march. Supermodel Chanel Iman, exhausted and struggling to keep up, was the first to fall behind. The staff ultimately decided to pull her from the competition, ending her run. Next came a terrifying 165-foot rope-crossing challenge, where contestants had to traverse a high cable within ten minutes. While Randall Cobb, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, and Gia Giudice couldn’t complete the task in time, Mark Estes, Jessie James Decker, Shawn Johnson, and Andrew East successfully crossed, proving their strength and composure under pressure.

Things only got more intense as the recruits moved on to the mud-filled Murderball challenge, one of the show’s most brutal physical tasks yet. In this round, contestants were divided into two teams and forced to wrestle a ball across the opponent’s goal line in knee-deep mud. It didn’t take long for Sister Wives star Kody Brown to become a prime target.

The FOX episode showed Kody charging into the muddy chaos. This was followed by Kody being immediately tackled by Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson. Former NFL wide receiver Randall Cobb quickly seized the ball. Eric Decker, who is also an ex-NFL star, teamed up with Cobb to take Kody down again in the next round. The group tumbled together in a massive pile of mud. This prompted Jessie James Decker to shout from the sidelines, “Watch your knee, Eric!”

Unfortunately, Eric suffered back and hip pain during the aggressive match on the show. After a medical evaluation, doctors confirmed he could not safely continue, and he was forced to withdraw from the competition.
