Kody Brown Confesses He ‘Liked’ Attention From a Woman Who Wanted to Join His Marriage
In an exclusive clip from People, for the Nov. 2 episode of “Sister Wives,” Kody Brown reveals to his wife, Robyn Brown, that he received “another one of those emails from some woman … talking about plural marriage.”
“She’s kind of chastising me for deciding to quit plural marriage. She’s calling me out then asking, sort of, to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family,” he tells Robyn, who replies, “Wow.”

In a confessional, Robyn expresses that she found the email “very inappropriate,” especially because the message was sent to Kody. “It’s not usually proper to go hitting on a guy. You have to go through the sister wives, you have to go through, like, at least one,” she shares.
Meanwhile, Kody admits that after the dissolution of his spiritual marriages to Christine Brown Woolley, Janelle Brown, and Meri Brown, he’s been receiving “a lot of letters” from women who want to join his family.
In fact, Kody shares that he “likes” the attention. “Who doesn’t like a little bit of attention? But at the same time, that’s a craziness that I don’t want to indulge.”
However, in an earlier episode, Kody and Robyn spoke about living out their marriage monogamously. “So, it’s you and me, baby. Monogamy, does it work for you? Will it work for you?” Kody asks her. “Sounds good. … It sounds good, I’m good,” Robyn said.
Robyn Brown Always Intended to Live in a Plural Marriage
GettySeason 20 follows Kody and Robyn Brown as they navigate a monogamous relationship. However, in the Oct. 19 episode, Robyn admitted it’s been challenging for her to live without sister wives, as she’s always envisioned a polygamous life.
“Sure, being the only wife is great in some ways, but there’s also ways that it’s not great,” Robyn expressed. “This was not the life that I expected and not the life that I planned for myself.”
She added, “While I love Kody, I did not ever intend or expect or want to have him to myself. I always wanted to live plural marriage. I wanted to live my religion.”
Additionally, Kody and Robyn decided to move out of their Flagstaff, Arizona, home to heal, hoping a new environment would bring them peace after the separations that occurred while living there.
“This house had a series of sad events. I start breaking up with my family … just one thing after another, I get news of Garrison’s passing. This house has pain,” Kody said. The Brown family ended up buying another home in the same city.
