Sister Wives: Kody Brown Talks About ‘Fooling Around’ With His 23-Year-Old Daughter’s Boyfriend!

In a recent episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown spoke about his strong premarital physical affection. Viewers have often seen that Brown shares a rocky relationship with his adult kids. However, he recently added that he wants to work on this. In the same episode, viewers saw that Kody’s daughter, Aurora, invited her boyfriend, Brodie Utley, to their new mansion.

Brodie was there to help the family decorate the world’s most miniature Christmas tree. Kody told the audience that Utley is a rancher. He added that he could trust his daughter with a cowboy, despite the ‘cliché’ about cowboys. While he tried to be welcoming toward Brodie, he made things a little awkward by continuously talking about ‘protecting’ his daughter. What else did he say? Keep reading to find out.

Sister Wives: Kody Made Kids Earn His Love

In a recent Q&A session on Patreon with her mother, Christine, and stepdad, David, Sister Wives star Mykelti spoke about the changes her brothers and sisters have experienced over the past few years. Mykelti added that her father made all his adult kids earn his love. She further said, “I think it was just, like, he just loved us [as kids].” Mykelti admitted that, as they all got older, they realized his love for his kids had become more conditional.

“The older we got, it was conditional up to how much we respect him and were willing to fork over what we want, for him,” she added. The mother of three said that Kody wanted his kids to ‘perform’ for him. She explained that Brown wished all his kids would listen to him and do everything his way. Mykelti also disclosed how Kody had to earn the privilege of getting a Claddagh ring from him. (Kody would give his daughters a Claddagh ring when they become teenagers.)

Sister Wives: Kody Tells Aurora’s Boyfriend That He Needs To Protect His Daughter From Himself

In a recent episode of Sister Wives, viewers saw Kody’s daughter, Aurora, invite her boyfriend, Brodie Utley, over. Brown said he would trust his daughter with the cowboy. Even though he claimed to trust his 23-year-old daughter’s boyfriend, he made a few things clear to Brodie. He made it clear that Brodie needed to understand the importance of ‘protecting’ Aurora. Brodie also told Kody and Robyn that he had given their daughter a pocketknife for protection.

Brown replied, “That’s an interesting concept.” He added that when Brodie takes Aurora out and Kody isn’t there to protect her, it is Utley’s duty to do so. Furthermore, the casual meeting between dad and the daughter’s boyfriend became a little intense. Kody mentioned that Brodie should believe that, as a rancher, it’s his job to protect Aurora from ‘himself’ too. “Definitely,” Brodie nodded. To lighten the mood, Utley joked that his girlfriend does not use the knife on him. Moving on, Brown suggested they discuss other forms of ‘protection.’

He said, “it’s impossible to be involved with each other in a nature that’s romantic without the potential of hurt.” Furthermore, he added that one should take the risk only when willing to do so. Kody told viewers that he would have made these points clear to any young man who dated his daughter. Brown further mentioned that when two people are dating, they are just kissing someone else’s husband or wife until they become yours.

He added, “Don’t take something away from them that doesn’t belong to you.” Kody claimed that he loved Robyn so much that he did not touch her until they got married, and that he wants his children to follow suit. However, Aurora revealed that her boyfriend might not be on the same page as they had discussed. Fans might recall how Kody talked to Mykelti’s boyfriend 10 years ago about how holding hands can be dangerous. Keep coming back to TV Season & Spoilers for more Sister Wives updates.
