SHOCKING TWIST!!! Coronation Street’s Todd plans to leave Theo in dramatic scenes – but there’s a twist
Todd Grimshaw will stand up to partner Theo Silverton in dramatic new scenes on Coronation Street amid the coercive control and domestic violence storyline. However, there is a twist that leaves Todd stunned.
The soap has recently been exploring the dark storyline as Theo tries to exert control over Todd, with events recently escalating into violence.
Scenes early next week will see Theo push Todd to stay in their flat amid his noticeable facial injuries from Theo’s attack. However, Dev comes across Todd, as the latter lies about the circumstances regarding the injury.
Later on, Todd is left in agony amid Theo’s harsh marathon training for him, which he has been using to exert control, and Theo later watches on as Todd goes for a cuppa with Christina.
In newly-detailed scenes airing later in the week (Friday, 5 December), Theo shows Todd the new exercise bike he has bought for him, though Billy and Summer pass by and are concerned by the cut on Todd’s face.

Theo lies and says his partner injured himself whilst out partying in London, though Billy is unconvinced.
As Todd tries out the bike, Theo’s estranged wife Danielle pops round and reveals she is taking their kids to Tenerife for the holidays. Todd is expecting Theo to rage, though is shocked to find Theo backs her.
Checking the fitness app later on, Theo rages at Todd for only doing one sprint, and starts to blame him for Danielle’s plan.
Having had enough, Todd breaks and declares that he cannot take Theo’s cruelty anymore, and plans to leave. However, he is startled when Theo starts to slap his own face.
Will he be manipulated into staying?

Opening up about the storyline, Coronation Street boss Kate Brooks recently said: “It’s a hard watch. We’re not rooting for Todd and Theo in any way, shape or form. This story will naturally progress. Hopefully Todd will realise what is going on and that this is not acceptable.
“We’re not rooting for this couple – we’re rooting for Todd. We’re rooting for Todd to see the light.”
