SHOCKING TRUTH REVEALED!! Coronation Street star addresses calls for Becky Swain to be caught out
Coronation Street actor Amy Cudden has teased that her character Becky Swain’s behaviour is going to get even worse in upcoming episodes, including the special Corriedale crossover episode. But she also hinted that the highly-anticipated event might finally see her get her comeuppance…
Since returning from the not-so dead, Becky has been involved with dodgy characters, and has even gone as far as to attempt murder on a comatose police officer to avoid suspicion.
On a more personal level, she’s also manipulated events to break up her ex-wife Lisa from her fiancé Carla Connor.
Cudden was at the red carpet for the special Corriedale press screening last night, and stated that her character features quite heavily in it.
“I can tease that I’m up to no good but it won’t unfold the way you think it will. You can see me reach peak villain,” she told The Sun.

She went even further, while still keeping it vague, teasing: “I think villains are always taken down by a team.
“I think something has to happen, there have to be consequences because someone that’s this evil and awful, can’t just swan off into the sunset.
“I can say that there will be consequences, who those consequences favour, I’m going to leave to your imagination.”
Could the “team” comment mean that Becky will be caught out in the crossover, or that multiple characters will band together to take her down?

Todd Grimshaw actor Gareth Pierce has also been teasing what’s to come. He exclusively spoke to Digital Spy on the red carpet and talked about how his character’s dark storyline with evil boyfriend Theo Silverton is another big part of the special.
“Todd’s definitely in jeopardy!” he told us. “He’s in jeopardy going into this episode anyway. I think most characters involved in the crash are probably injured to some extent. So without giving too much away, yes, he is potentially in peril.”
