EastEnders aired a shock cliffhanger for Jasmine Fisher and Oscar Branning as they came back together again, but there could be danger in store. After a worrying development, what will happen next for the pair?

The duo struck up a bond ever since Jasmine’s arrival in East London in September, and promptly began dating. Naturally in soapland, there was more beneath the surface with the newcomer as she was hiding a secret.

After several suspicious acts, including breaking and entering into Anthony Trueman’s office, Oscar gradually became dissatisfied with Jasmine’s distracted nature, and the relationship broke down.

Thursday’s (11 December) episode of the BBC soap began with Oscar being accompanied to his surprise birthday party by sister Lauren, though Jasmine was clearly still on his mind as he looked through old photos.

Lauren attempted to take his mind off things by arranging some suitable partners to approach him during the party. It didn’t take long for him to find a match, and he headed outside with a guy.

After briefly sharing a kiss, Oscar informed the guy that things wouldn’t be progressing further that evening, but he soon got a shock as Jasmine arrived out of the blue demanding help…

The developments come ahead of a busy week in Albert Square, with Jasmine’s past with Cindy Beale and the Fords set to be unveiled fully. Furthermore, the true nature of her identity will also be revealed, leading to some big surprises.

The storyline will converge with Zoe Slater’s, who finds herself trapped in No.25 as a blaze rips through the house. Oscar spots it and rushes in to save Zoe, with more secrets being unearthed in the process.
