SHOCKING NEWS!!! Coronation Street teases new character’s dramatic secret – ahead of shocking flashback
Coronation Street has revealed an ominous clue to Maggie Driscoll’s dark past – ahead of a shocking flashback episode. As Maggie passes comment on Tracy McDonald’s past in Friday’s episode, she appears to give the game away over her casual views on murder.
Fans have been watching Maggie very closely ever since she arrived in Weatherfield last month, with cast and producers tipping her as one to watch. The speculation has grown more recently, with the news that Maggie’s surprising backstory will soon unravel.

Eva confirms that Tracy murdered her partner Charlie Stubbs by smacking him over the head with a blunt object. Surprisingly, though, Maggie doesn’t seem too worried…

Doubling down over her thoughts on Tracy, Maggie adds: “Strange thing is, I quite like her!”

Pauline McLynn, who plays Maggie, recently explained: “I was told [Maggie’s] larger than life and gets on with everyone. Although obviously, there are family dynamics – in every family there are. And maybe at some stage, the carpet will be pulled from under everyone’s feet.
“Now that I’ve been filming for a while, I know that Maggie is fiercely loyal and protective of her family. There’ll be things happening over Christmas where you think: ‘Oh come on, that’s very bad behaviour at the very least!'”
Catherine Tyldesley, who plays Eva, added: “Early doors, I wouldn’t say that Eva is scared of Maggie, she’s more irritated by her. But as time goes on, Eva does start to see this side to Maggie that’s like: ‘Wow, okay, I’ve got your number’. I think that element
