SHOCKING NEWS!!! Coronation Street danger ahead as Becky Swain is targeted for death
Coronation Street‘s Becky Swain storyline takes another jaw-dropping turn next week as she receives a chilling death threat. The shock moment comes as Becky remains at a crossroads over her future, facing a dilemma over whether to flee the cobbles without her ex, Lisa, by her side.
Becky has previously stood up to scheming DI Costello, warning him that she’ll only follow his orders and leave Weatherfield once she’s won her family back. This isn’t good enough for Costello, who wants her out of the picture much sooner than that…

Next week, Becky has another clandestine meeting with Costello. The dodgy duo are desperate to take each other down, but Costello reckons he has the upper hand and reveals he’s booked Becky a flight to Spain for the following day.
Stubborn Becky isn’t going anywhere without her wife and child, and won’t be rushed. Realising he needs to up his game, Costello issues a chilling threat…

“Costello is fed up of Becky thinking she’s calling the shots,” teases our Corrie source. “He tells her if she doesn’t get on that plane, he’ll arrange to have her killed – just like he did with Tia Wardley!”
Becky gulps in horror. It turns out Tia – the homeless woman whose body Costello identified as Becky to make her fake death more convincing – was murdered as part of the corruption that got everyone into this mess in the first place.
As further revelations about Costello and Becky’s shady past emerge, who will be next to pay the price for their criminal cover-ups? Should Lisa, Carla and Betsy start looking over their shoulders? All will be revealed in the coming weeks.

“It’s a really exciting story,” Corrie‘s producer Kate Brooks recently told us. “You don’t want to mess with Becky. She’s got her sights set on getting that family back. She’s clever and she’s wily. She stayed dead for, like, four years! She knows what she’s doing. She knows how to lie her way out of situations.
“Becky also capitalises on the fact that Lisa’s still struggling to process this – and what she’s offering is a glimpse of the past and the life they had together.
“There’s loads of twists, there’s loads of turns, there’s loads of moments where you watch it and go: ‘Oh my God’. But ultimately, it’s a really enjoyable ride and it’s really exciting.”
