Coronation Street‘s next set of spoiler clips has arrived – offering our first look at a huge week for Debbie Webster. As Debbie anxiously prepares for her sentencing hearing, her secret son Carl starts to feel guilty for deceiving her over the recent road disaster. What will happen when his conscience finally gets the better of him?

Elsewhere, Bernie Winter-Alahan is left unsettled as newcomer Mal Roper insists on staying in Weatherfield. And Todd Grimshaw sparks further concern over his behaviour, as Theo Silverton’s abuse continues to take its toll.

Bernie faces her worst nightmare, as Mal plans to stick around in Weatherfield for the foreseeable future to carry out the electrics job at Roy Cropper’s café.

Fearful over what Mal’s intentions may be, Bernie has a quiet word with him at the Rovers Return – making it very clear that she’s not interested in him romantically because she’s a married woman.

Mal promises to stay out of Bernie’s way, which could be a difficult task since the café is her place of work! Is Mal being genuine with his reassurances?

Coronation Street’s Carl confesses to Debbie (ITV)

Carl’s inner turmoil boils over, so he prepares to head down to the police station and finally confess that he was the one driving in the recent Corriedale crash.

When Debbie questions what he’s up to, Carl reveals his guilty secret. He’s in for a shock of his own, though, when Debbie admits that she has known all along and has been trying to protect him!

As Debbie reveals that she’s prepared to go to prison so that Carl doesn’t have to, he wonders why she’d do that for him.

This paves the way for the long-awaited scene where Debbie finally tells Carl that she’s his mum…

Todd seems distracted as he bumps into David and Sarah Platt outside the café. Things get worse when Sarah takes the opportunity to tell Todd that he owes £10 to her son Harry, who has completed a sponsored walk.
