Max BranningΒ (Jake Wood) will face the wrath of a family member inΒ EastEndersΒ thisΒ ChristmasΒ time, with the lothario seen sporting a busted lip during on-location filming.

The BBC One soap isΒ known for going large during the festive seasonΒ and this year looks set to be no different, with the Brannings at the centre ofΒ some explosive family drama.

Jimmy’s christening proves eventful as an argument erupts between Max andΒ JackΒ (Scott Maslen). As the fight spills out of the church, Max sports a busted lip, with Jack having seemingly struck his sibling.

The scene is set for more drama, that’s for sure, as Max stages another almighty comeback.

The show legend, who left Walford in 2021,Β staged quite the return earlier this yearΒ when it was revealed that he crossed paths withΒ Zoe SlaterΒ (Michelle Ryan) ahead of her return to the Square.

The two embarked on a romantic relationship, with Max agreeing to help Zoe find her son. However, the situation ended quite dramatically, with Zoe cutting ties.
