Coronation Street‘s Jodie Ramsey enjoys getting up close and personal with David Platt next week, before trying to cause more trouble in his marriage to Shona. Is it only a matter of time before she makes her move and tries to steal David away?

Having just returned home, David finds Jodie with her arm down one of the armchairs in the living room. Jodie explains that she can feel Shona’s wedding ring that recently went missing, but she needs his help to reach it.

Happy to oblige, David crouches down beside his sister-in-law, and Jodie laps up how close the pair are to each other…

“Jodie’s facial expression says it all,” our Corrie source explains. “Shona hasn’t got a clue about Jodie’s level of interest in her man, but she better suss it out sooner rather than later. Who knows what else Jodie has up her sleeve to get even closer to David?”

The week kicks off with Jodie being secretly observed by a mysterious figure, who is holding a locket identical to hers.

At the same time, Jodie is told off by Toyah Battersby for not being bothered to clean up David the dog’s mess after taking the pooch for a walk. Toyah eventually heads off, with Jodie shooting her a dirty look, but is quickly distracted by a woman calling her name.

“Someone called Olivia turns up,” our spy continues. “Jodie is unsettled by her presence, but Olivia is eager to know why she vanished, particularly when Jodie used to say that she enjoyed looking after her and her brother. Jodie struggles to find an answer, so what is she so uneasy about?”

Back at home, Jodie checks that she’s on her own before grabbing a box from one of the cupboards, which contains another secret…

Later in the week, Shona organises a pamper day for Jodie to express her gratitude for the support that she’s given her lately. In the salon, Shona raises a glass to her sister, while Bethany and Maria label Shona and David “the perfect couple”, which irks Jodie no end.

With the beauty session done, Shona returns home, but she’s upset to realise that she’s somehow lost her wedding ring.

David helps Jodie rummage down the back of the armchair for the jewel, but will Jodie go so far as to make a move?
