NEWEST UPDATE!!! Emmerdale’s newest mystery continues as Ruby seeks answers over Anya
Emmerdale recently introduced a new character, and she’s already causing tensions between Ruby and Caleb Miligan.
Anya was found sneaking into the country as a stowaway in the back of one of Caleb’s trucks. Seeing how vulnerable she was, Ruby insisted she was brought back to the house to rest despite Caleb’s wishes.

During the latest episode of the ITV soap, Ruby continued her caring for Anya, telling Caleb she’ll let her eat breakfast before she considers reporting the incident to the authorities.
Caleb was furious at her plans, saying they could both go to prison for what they were doing, but his wife refused to listen and begged him to see there is a vulnerable young woman to think of. He finished the conversation by saying that, although he is concerned for her, he doesn’t want to do prison time because of it.

Later, Ruby made some breakfast for her unexpected guest and the two started to chat before Anya broke down and started to cry. Ruby offered to help her, but Anya begged her not to call anyone.
Instead, Ruby called Doctor Cavanagh, and asked if he could do an examination on the girl and keep the confidentiality.
He agreed and came over to their place, but while Anya was in the bathroom, he warned Ruby of what she could be taking on. The doctor told her Anya is clearly traumatised, but as she refuses to speak about it, he can’t do anything about it.
“Physically, she is dehydrated, exhausted, needs rest and fluids,” he continued. “You know nothing about her, what she’s gone through, she’s clearly frightened, anxious.”

Encouraging Ruby to speak to the authorities, he added: “You wouldn’t be throwing her to the wolves, there are people trained in dealing with cases like these, practically, medically, physiologically… You’re not.”
Ruby refused to listen, and later tried to coax Anya into opening up to her, asking who she is running from and why she is so afraid. But Anya changed the subject, saying she’ll leave tomorrow when it’s dark and no one can see her.
Ruby tried to talk her out of it, saying she’s too ill to leave as she continued to ask questions about the stranger’s life only to be met by Anya changing the subject.
What could Anya be hiding?
