EastEnders is lining up a dramatic week for Nicola Mitchell soon, as she will have to deal with a romantic setback before making a mysterious and unexpected discovery. Could it be tied to the Harry kidnapping plot? A couple of months ago, Nicola began a relationship with George Knight, although it was more of a sexual thing and bonding over their shared experiences than anything hugely serious.

The soap hasn’t shown much of them together recently. George’s scenes lately have mostly focused on his concern for his brother Kojo Asare, as well as his daughter Gina getting hit by a car.

There’s also the fact that George doesn’t approve of Kojo’s friendship with Harry, which has made things a bit tense with Nicola.

In scenes set to air next week though, Nicola tries to patch things up with George. But he calls time on their relationship instead.

Things then go from bad to worse for her, when she makes a shocking discovery.

While the specifics of that discovery are a secret for now, we do know that next week will see George learn that Harry didn’t have time off work approved, so it’s unlikely that he’s gone to Cardiff.

Nicola’s ex Teddy also tells George that Kojo’s flat has been used by the criminal gang for drug dealing, but warns him against going to the police.

It’s also been teased that tensions will rise between George and his son Junior again in the storyline leading up to actor Micah Balfour’s exit.

The two famously had a major falling out when it was revealed on Christmas Day that Junior was having an affair with George’s ex-wife Cindy Beale.
