What is Corriedale?
Fan favourite characters from two TV titans – Coronation Street and Emmerdale – are coming together for sensational special show.
The atmospheric trailer makes clear that the much-loved soaps have gone all out, with a spectacular stunt that could have far-reaching consequences for everyone involved.
A multi-vehicle pile-up is at the centre of the action that sees Emmerdale and Weatherfield collide.
Screams are heard calling for help as emergency services arrive on the scene.

Corrie actors Vicky Myers, Jack P Shepherd and Kate Ford star in the trailer, confirming their roles in Corriedale.
Emmerdale’s Johnny McPherson and Danny Miller can also be seen in it.
The soaps have given clues about what brings the characters of both soaps together.

And towards the end of November, Belle Dingle dropped a number of hints that she was the wedding planner organising Debbie Webster’s Christmas Day nuptials.
ITV’s teaser says: “CORRIEDALE is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets, and lies.
“Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!”
When is Corriedale on?
As of December 10, 2025, the exact date for Corriedale has not been revealed by ITV.

What we know so far is that the special episode will air in early January 2026.
ITV calls it a “celebration of the soap genre” and confirmed it will launch the channel’s new ‘soap power hour’ scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
From January 2026, the soaps will each air one 30 minute episodes per night back to back from 8pm on ITV.
How can I watch Corriedale?
The crossover episode will be available to watch on ITV1 and ITVX, as well as STV for viewers in Scotland.
Both soaps are also moving from their current schedules.
Emmerdale currently airs at 7.30pm every weeknight, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.

And Corrie has three hour-long episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
But the new schedule will feature 30-minute episodes of both soaps every weekday – the new ‘soap power hour’ – with Emmerdale at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm, kicking off with the Corriedale episode.
