Coronation Street‘s Todd Grimshaw will be forced to make an impossible decision next week, in order to help ease Theo Silverton’s mounting money worries. But will he be able to play nice with newcomer Pete, and how will volatile Theo react to the selfless act?

Recent episodes have seen Theo struggling financially after his one-night stand with potential client Pete turned sour. Furious that Todd had spent the night at Billy Mayhew’s flat, Theo decided to cheat on his boyfriend in an act of revenge.

Later, during an important business meeting with Gary Windass, Pete continued to flirt with Theo. The scaffolder quickly lost his temper and consequently ruined the huge contract, leading Gary to sever their working relationship.

Next week, Theo continues to lament about his lack of work and worrying financial situation. Despite receiving a few odd jobs from friends and neighbours, he can’t quite make ends meet.

On the other hand, Todd is thriving at work as he prepares for the lavish funeral of a local councillor. He fears his busy workload will anger or upset his boyfriend.

Gary then informs Theo that he will be working on a big contract with Pete, despite the fiery showdown at the builders’ yard. He thinks that things could be smoothed over with the client to secure Theo some work, too.

However, it isn’t Theo who Gary thinks should extend an olive branch. Instead, he suggests Todd try to make amends with his boyfriend’s recent fling. Will Todd put his ego aside to help Theo, or is it too big of an ask?
