Emmerdale spoilers follow for Monday’s (February 2) episode which is now available to stream on ITVX and YouTube. The episode will air tonight at 8pm on ITV1.

Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J Robb) world crumbled as she was arrested and charged after two bodies were discovered on her land.

Ruby Miligan (Beth Cordingly), as viewers know, had reason to suspect that Anya Berisha (Alia Al-Shabibi) – who she encountered last year – was buried on the land in question and thus called the police.

With Celia Daniels’ (Jaye Griffiths) human trafficking and modern slavery operation being investigated, the police swiftly took action and searched the area, where they located not one but two bodies.

Moira and Cain (Jeff Hordley) were taken in for questioning over the matter, with DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) particularly interested in Moira, who she reckoned was to blame for the deaths.

The situation was made worse for Moira when a blanket belonging to her was found in the grave. As fans will recall, Celia used said blanket to bury Anya in in a bid to frame Moira should the body ever be recovered.

Moira reiterated that Celia was to blame for all of this, urging the detective to track down the villain. However, a shock lay in store for the farmer as DS Walsh confirmed that the identity of the second body was confirmed to be Celia.

Celia, as viewers will recall, was murdered by Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), who was later killed by Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards). The police remain in the dark about the identity of both killers.

Shaken to the core by news of Celia’s demise, Moira once again pleaded her innocence. But it was no use. In intense scenes, Walsh charged Moira for the two murders.

Discussing Moira’s ordeal, star Natalie J Robb said: ‘She just feels like she’s losing everything and having that massive betrayal from Celia, who she really did think was a friend which is quite sad.

‘Even though she had kind of had that thing in the beginning with them where she had that bit of mistrust, she really did trust her again and everything was really looking up for her and everything and then obviously, one thing led to and then now, she’s got Cain to worry about.’

Cain, meanwhile, was horrified to learn of what had transpired. Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Caleb Miligan (William Ash) were worried about Cain, unaware that he’s set to receive his test results tomorrow – and he’ll now have to do so without Moira by his side.

In emotional scenes later this week, Cain learns that he has aggressive, but localised, prostate cancer.

Overwhelmed by the diagnosis and the potential side effects of the recommended radical prostatectomy, he cuts the consultation short and leaves.
