EastEnders’ Zack caught kissing someone he really shouldn’t as he begs not to be exposed

EastEnders’ Zack Hudson (James Farrar) has a pretty bad reputation for kissing people he shouldn’t – something that he lives up to next week when he locks lips with a surprising local.

The Walford lothario gets caught out in forthcoming scenes when he shares a kiss with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) after comforting her amid her latest trauma.

Vicki has really been through it in recent months, having been violently attacked by her troubled stepson Joel Marshall (Max Murray).

She is still haunted by her ordeal, and next week, she is triggered after witnessing concerning behaviour from a man Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) is on a date with.

The situation escalates, and Vicki winds up in a confrontation with him in the laundrette, where she pushes him and he hits his head.

As Vicki panics, Zack arrives and quickly springs into action to protect her.

Back home, the pair have a heart-to-heart as Vicki opens up about how much Joel’s attack has impacted her.

In a charged moment, they both then lean in for a kiss…

‘They feel like they’ve dealt with something big and they have a laugh about something and it develops into an intense moment of passion,’ says Alice Haig, who plays Vicki. ‘They don’t expect to end up kissing.’

The situation is particularly messy given their family dynamic. While they are not directly related, they both share a sister in Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), who would likely have some things to say about their kiss should it ever come out.

That’s perhaps why then that Vicki and Zack are at pains to keep their tryst a secret.

Unfortunately for the pair, their kiss is witnessed by Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who walks in and is stunned to find them in an embrace.

Vicki and Zack insist it was a moment of madness and Sharon doesn’t need to know, and Zack later seeks Kathy out to further apologise.

Kathy advises him that, rather than getting involved in Vicki’s drama, he should focus on his biological son Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), who needs his support following his dad Teddy Mitchell’s (Roland Manookian) recent arrest for Okie Okyere’s (Aayan Ibikunle Shoderu) murder.

Meanwhile, Joel’s dad Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) tells Vicki he’s not giving up on their relationship and later makes a big gesture to try and remind her of the good times they shared together.

It doesn’t have the desired effect though, as Vicki is unimpressed with his actions.

Could it be that Vicki’s kiss with Zack has ignited some other feelings?

‘I can completely understand why Vicky might be torn between them!’ Alice teases.

‘I think it’d be brilliant because Zack and Ross have such different energies and characters, but they’re also both really great men.’
