HOT NEWS!!! EastEnders first look at Max Branning’s Christmas return as family fight breaks out
EastEnders’ Max Branning is set to return to the BBC soap in the coming weeks, and he will be thrown straight into the drama when he attends a family gathering and ends up injured. Max’s comeback earlier this year was under surprising circumstances, when he was revealed to have formed a connection with fellow returnee Zoe Slater.
He later arrived in Walford to celebrate Lauren and Peter’s wedding and grew close once again to his ex-lover Stacey.

But when Stacey spotted Max kissing Zoe in the Square, it affirmed her decision to start a new life in Brazil – and Max also made a swift exit when Stacey turned him down, to the disappointment of his son Oscar.
In the days before Christmas, the Brannings and the Beales will come together for baby Jimmy’s Christening – and Max is a potentially unwelcome guest at the event.

Brothers Max and Jack are no strangers to a scrap, and it looks like there will soon be another fight to add to the list, with actors Jake Wood and Scott Maslen present as scenes are filmed on location at the church.
It is reported that a huge argument breaks out in the church between Max and Jack in dramatic scenes. On-set pictures show the pair exiting the building, with Max holding his face while sporting a painful split lip.
While it sounds like Jack is responsible for Max’s injury, why are the brothers at odds again after his return?

Lots more cast members were spotted on set filming these huge scenes, including Michelle Collins, who plays Walford icon Cindy Beale.
When Max returned to Albert Square earlier this year, Cindy got word that he was in town and set out to confront him over her son Steven’s death – but he had scarpered before they could come face to face.
With Max and Cindy both at the Christening, it means the two characters will finally meet for the first time. How will this long-awaited encounter unfold?

Also at the church were Jacqueline Jossa and Thomas Law, who play proud parents Lauren and Peter, as well as the likes of Jake McNally (Louie), Pierre Counihan-Moullier (Oscar), Ellie Dadd (Amy) and Francesca Henry (Gina).
It’s going to be an eventful Christmas, with Max at the centre of the action…
