Maggie is set to arrive on the cobbled streets on Monday (27 October) with son Ben and daughter-in-law Eva Price, with the family being completed by youngsters Ollie and Will as they take over the Rovers.
With the Driscoll clan set to make their bow, Maudsley took to Instagram as he posted various photos from the behind-the-scenes, with the actor sharing that McLynn’s character would be feisty.

“Batten down the hatches and don’t be fooled by that sweet smile. Maggie Driscoll (aka the fabulous @paulinejmclynn) is about to be unleashed on the nation and the good folk of Weatherfield. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid!! 😱😱😱 #corrie,” he wrote.
Catherine Tyldesley, who returned as Eva following a seven-year absence, commented: “Oh I love this pic! All my faves 😍😍”, while Maria Connor actor Samia Longchambon wrote: “😂👏❤️ What a trio!”
Former Corrie writer Daran Little, who was a screenwriter during McLynn’s time on EastEnders, commented: “She’s amazing. I wrote for her during her crazy stint on Enders about ten years ago. Fantastic casting for the street.”
“Cannot wait to see how the new family pan out…love Pauline in anything she does 😍I squealed, when I seen her picture😂,” wrote one excited fan, while another commented that McLynn would be a “great addition” to the soap.

“I’d be amazed the executive producer might get a few Mrs Doyle references in like perhaps she likes the pain or something like will you have a cup of tea?” commented another fan as they referenced McLynn’s role in iconic sitcom Father Ted.
