FAMILY TIES Coronation Street’s Jodie reveals truth about her identity after crossover episode mystery
CORONATION Street’s Jodie has revealed the truth about her identity after the crossover episode mystery.
The character first appeared during Monday’s epic Corriedale episode, which saw characters from Coronation Street and Emmerdale literally collide in a multi-car pile up.

Jodie was seen tied up in the back of a van further down the road, with her kidnapper turning out to be none other than Emmerdale’s Graham Foster – despite him supposedly being dead for years.
She managed to escape his clutches and ended up being found by Kit Green in the woods, before being brought to hospital.
A tree tattoo on her wrist was seen during the drama, and eagle-eyed viewers noticed it matched the one on pregnant Shona Platt’s back.
Jodie also recognised Shona when she passed in the hospital – having gone into early labour with her baby girl due to the minibus crash.

It left fans convinced the two characters are sisters, and in tonight’s episode they got their answer.
Shona was taken into surgery to have her baby, while husband David waited anxiously outside.
Jodie was seen lingering around the hospital, stealing a cuddly toy bunny and placing it in Shona’s hospital room which she was on the operating table.
She also rummaged through her bag before pulling a garment out and smelling it.
Thankfully for Shona and David, their little girl arrived safely, although she needed to be placed in an incubator until she is strong enough to breathe on her own.
The couple decided to call her Harper, after the doctor who delivered her.

As they spent time with their newborn, they had no idea Jodie was watching them through the window from the corridor.
A man approached and asked if she was the “proud mum” and after a pause, Jodie replied: “Proud auntie.”
The reveal comes as soap fans are convinced Jodie will be the key to another soap crossover event in the future.
Writing online about Jodie’s show debut, one fan said: “Does this mean we’re gonna get more characters crossing over later this year as Graham is involved in her story?”
