Emmerdale’s Moira uncovers Celia’s evil plan tonight – but is it too late?

Emmerdale‘s Moira Dingle uncovers Celia Daniels’ evil plan tonight, following her shocking arrest. But will she be able to prove her innocence before it’s too late? Or has Celia succeeded in her final scheme?

In today’s episode, the police arrive at Butlers Farm and reveal that they’ve discovered two dead bodies while searching the land. Having unearthed the corpses on Moira and Cain’s property, they take the pair in for questioning at the station.

Cain insists that the bodies have nothing to do with the couple, but DS Walsh promptly arrests Moira “on suspicion of the murder of two persons unknown”.

A horrified Kyle, Matty and Victoria witness Moira being cuffed and escorted away, before news of the arrest quickly reaches the other Dingles. The police then take statements from Vic and Matty, with the latter insisting they focus their attention on finding Celia instead.

“The amount of grief my mum has had off that Celia. It’s her that you wanna find. She’s the one behind all this,” he says.

At the station, Cain maintains his and Moira’s innocence and also points the finger at Celia. He reasons that he wouldn’t have buried bodies on his own land. Meanwhile, DS Walsh presents Moira with a picture of a blanket, which she explains was used to cover up one of the bodies.

Moira recalls Celia offering to take some of her belongings to a charity shop, and realises that she took the blanket to frame her. Putting the puzzle pieces together, Moira discovers how Celia had been carefully creating evidence against her in order to set her up.

“She obviously planted the documents that you found, set up the business to implicate me. She must be behind this, as well,” Moira declares, insisting the police bring Celia in for questioning.

Of course, viewers know that Moira is exactly right in her theory, having watched the villain carefully executing her plan over the last few months. However, her hopes of vindication are quickly dashed when DS Walsh reveals that Celia is one of the dead bodies they found.

Later, DS Walsh returns with more devastating news, confirming that it was Moira’s DNA on the blanket. Combined with the evidence of her other criminal activities – forged by Celia – the detective charges Moira with the murder of both the villain and Anya Berisha.

With Celia unable to face justice for her actions, will Moira be able to clear her name?
