Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley says ‘I can cope with anything’ as she lands in Australia ahead of I’m A Celebrity
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley is the second celebrity to arrive in Australia ahead of the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here.
Her arrival in Australia comes after she was heavily rumoured to be joining the ITV show’s 2025 line-up of celebrities, alongside the likes of Loose Women star Kelly Brook, Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp and former England footballer Alex Scott.
The actress, who plays Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, arrived at Brisbane Airport ahead of the ITV show starting next Sunday (November 16).
The star was all smiles as she arrived at the airport as she said: “I am a Dingle I can cope with anything…we did Dingles Down Under many years ago and I feel it’s only right we do it again.”
Lisa, 49, added she could cope with any creepy, as she quipped: “I’ve worked on a farm and it’s part of the job.”
The Emmerdale star’s arrival in Australia comes after model and actress Kelly Brook became the first 2025 I’m A Celebrity star to touch down in Brisbane on Sunday (November 9).
The Loose Women star appeared to deny speculation of her entering the jungle as she joked: “I haven’t seen my auntie Sheila for a long time so I can’t wait to see her, and I’m so excited that you’re all so excited for me.”
Asked also about how she is with creepy-crawlies, Kelly joked there might be some in her “relative’s” garden before she added: “I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’m visiting a distant cousin.”
When asked about sleeping under the stars, she further replied: “I’m hoping that I’ve got a spare room. I’m not sure about that.”
ITV are set to formally announce the line-up of the new series of the hit reality show next week, however two names will be missing from the announcement as these celebrities are expected to join the jungle as latecomers.
A source close to the show also revealed some of what fans can expect from the upcoming series as they said: “Producers are expected to pull out the stops to ensure the 25th series is the most memorable yet.”
