Emmerdale star breaks silence on exciting new Coronation Street role
Former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis has broken her silence on her new Coronation Street role. It was reported this week that the actor, who played Ali Spencer on the fellow ITV soap, will take on the part of a ‘Queen Bee’ inmate amid the Debbie Webster prison storyline.
Kelli has now confirmed the role herself by sharing a series of amusing TikToks documenting her first day on the Corrie set – presumably filmed a little while ago as her first scenes are due to air this month.
In the first in her new dressing room, she told followers: “Why do I get all the glamorous jobs? Actually looks a lot worse than it does on camera. So far I’ve bumped into about five people I know, which is always really nice, especially when you walk onto a new job. Especially when they work in make-up!”
The star revealed that she had reunited with some of her former Shameless colleagues, and was looking forward to having a catch up with Aaron McCusker, who plays Ben Driscoll and portrayed Jamie Maguire on Shameless.

She also praised Jane Hazlegrove, who she worked with on Clink, calling her “one of the funniest, funniest women you will ever meet”.
In a follow-up video, she documented her arrival at the studios, admitting she is “a little bit nervous” and was “having a nosey in everybody’s dressing rooms”.
A third clip showed her bringing some Yorkshire Tea in for someone. Although she didn’t film a clip because the subject was “too scared” to do a video, she said the encounter was “lovely”.
“I’ve had like three cast members come up to me and like, ‘Oh my god, I love you! Welcome!’ Everybody’s so nice,” she added, before doing a clip with George Shuttleworth actor Tony Maudsley.
“I just want to say a big thank you!” Hollis declared, before Maudsley added: “You are very welcome… glad you’re here.”
“He’s so lovely,” she admitted afterwards.
Kelli later filmed herself walking around the cobbles, sharing that it was “so weird”. “Now I know how people felt when they used to come up to Emmerdale,” she reflected. “The bloody Rovers! I’m filming just around the corner… bit of Rovers, f**king hell!”
