Philip’s lies were what initially broke up Sarah and Xander on Days of our Lives… in a way. On the September 15 episode, Sarah was surprised to learn that her soon-to-be ex-husband was about to make his brother co-CEO of Titan. She tried to get Philip to admit that Xander was the one who beat him into a coma back in the day, but Philip stuck to his story, and even added that Xander recently saved his life. (He didn’t mention how it was a fake-out and a test on Philip’s part.) This gave Sarah a new perspective on both Xander… and Philip. Could it turn into something more?

It was Victoria’s second birthday. Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) gave her a pretty onesie. Xander (Paul Telfer) got her a plush horise. And Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) got his niece a book. It was his favorite book as a kid. Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) too.

Is Philip the Better Man?

Sarah is convinced Xander attacked Philip, no matter what either man says. Xander’s temper is why she thinks he’s a danger to Victoria. Sarah also agreed to keep the secret that Philip forged the codicil to Victor’s will, giving him Titan, because she was afraid that Xander would react violently, which she is convinced he did. Whenever given a chance, Sarah picked Philip over her husband. Why?

How Sarah Really Feels

Could Sarah actually have feelings for Philip? Could she have been using Xander’s presumed actions as an excuse to dump him… and go after his brother? First, they bombed over a children’s picture book, then they bonded over how awful Xander is, and then… Sarah thought Xander was furious that Philip was taking his company away from him.
