Days of our Lives The Rinse September 11: Is Paulina a Crooked Politician?
On the September 11 episode of Days of our Lives, Chanel told Johnny that she wanted to adopt little firehouse abandoned baby Tesoro. Sure, she understood that there are many, many more couples ahead of them on the waiting list.
But, then again, Chanel’s Mama is the mayor. So, surely, she can pull some strings for them. Johnny said that, as a DiMera, he is totally down with that idea. Except that, just the other day, Stephanie was explaining how the DiMeras are so evil that people won’t even go to a free medical clinic if it has their name on it. So if you’re about to do something the DiMeras would approve of, what does that say about you? Nothing good, that’s for sure.
Chanel Turns to Paulina for Adoption Help
We already knew that Paulina (Jackée Harry) would do anything for her precious baby girl. When Chanel (Raven Bowens) was accused of killing Sloan’s (Jessica Serfaty) mother in England, Paulina quickly paid off the appropriate people to make sure the charges went away. Then, when Chanel was once again arrested for the same crime in the United States (for some reason), Paulina used being married to Mayor Abe (James Reynolds) to get her daughter special privileges like a full Thanksgiving dinner in the slammer.
Paulina’s History of Bending the Rules

Then, by the time Chanel was getting a runny nose out in a storm, Paulina used the power of her mayoral office to take a snowmobile and, instead of digging out her own citizens (which their taxes paid for), went looking for her daughter (while also spewing radiation right and left, as a bonus). As Mel Brooks told us decades ago, “It’s good to be the king!”
Will Chanel Jump the Adoption Line?
Now Chanel wants baby Tesoro. And she has every reason to believe her Mama will get it for her. We believe it, too. Paulina will be delighted to shove all the parents who’ve been waiting to adopt for literally years out of the way, so Chanel can have her heart’s desire. Johnny (Carson Boatman) approves. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) probably will, too. Stephanie (Abigail Klein) just painted the DiMeras as the ultimate evil. But at least they’re mostly doing bad as private citizens. Paulina does it as an elected official. Does that make her even worse? See how these storylines continue playing out in our DOOL spoilers weekly update.
