Days of our Lives The Rinse October 1: The Problem with Sophia’s Plan
On the October 1 episode of Days of our Lives, Chanel and Johnny are convinced they lost their chance to adopt baby Tesoro thanks to a poison pen letter — and a well-placed photo — sent by the tot’s birthmother… a.k.a. Sophia. But we have some questions about this very, very effective plan.
Negative Press
Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) were already caught off guard when the social worker showed up early and found them at their worst. But they decided to roll with it.
Things were looking up when Gillian (Erika Kreutz) liked Chanel’s pastries. But then they came roller-coastering down again, when Gillian pulled out a letter from Tesoro’s birth mother.
Mystery Woman
We have a question: How do they know this really came from the woman who dropped Tesoro off at the firehouse? We kept waiting for her to put some detail into the letter that only the bio mom could have known. We didn’t hear any.

Tesoro’s rescue got a lot of press, including in the Salem Spectator. ANYONE could have written that letter, just for the evulz. Why were they giving it any credence whatsoever?
Clue Less
Furthermore, the mysterious letter writer stated that they were aware of Johnny’s dalliance with a student… Holly (Ashley Puzemis), because they saw them sexting. Doesn’t that narrow down the suspects to who could have sent the letter to someone in Johnny’s class?
Doesn’t Johnny only teach one class? A class where not just Holly, but also Sophia (Rachel Boyd) is registered? Sophia, who just gave up a baby roughly Tesoro’s age? Sophia, who is one of the only Asian students in the class — and one of the few Asian families in Salem? And Tesoro is Asian? Isn’t she afraid of being found out?
Then again, considering that Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) just said the baby is not a DNA match to Tate (Leo Howard), maybe at least one of Sophia’s problems has just been solved…
