Days of our Lives The Rinse December 16: Is Gwen Framing Leo?
On the December 16 episode of Days of our Lives, Gwen told Rita she has big revenge plans towards Leo, and then she threatened Leo to stop investigating the DiMeras. But what if Gwen decides to kill two birds with one stone — and frame Leo for the clan’s ongoing disappearance?
Key Takeaways
- Gwen wants to get back at Leo
- Gwen wants to keep EJ’s secrets
- Gwen can neutralize Leo by framing him for EJ’s disappearance

Gwen’s Good Reason
Leo (Greg Rikaart) slept with Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) husband, Dimitri (Peter Porte). Leo thinks she should be over it by now. She isn’t over it. And we don’t blame her.
Leo thinks if he keeps talking quickly and horribly — and offensively — mispronounces Yiddish words, then Gwen will be overwhelmed by his charms and fall back into their old BFF banter. Or, at the very least, stop telling him to quit investigating where Tony (Thaao Penghlis), Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews), Chad (Billy Flynn), and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) have gone.
Well, Leo is wrong. Is he about to find out just how wrong?
Two for the Price of One
Gwen knows too much about what EJ is up to to be comfortable with his going missing. She knows, eventually, someone will have to take the fall for the crime, and they will need an excellent motive for doing so, to keep Rafe (Galen Gering) from wondering if there might be more to the story.
So why not frame Leo? It would both stop him from digging further into EJ and the rest’s whereabouts, and make him pay for the Dimitri betrayal. A win-win in Gwen’s book!
In the End, There Can be Only One
And if all the DiMeras should stay missing, and if Leo goes down for the crime, why, that might leave only Gwen to handle all that lovely money — especially if Johnny (Carson Boatman) is as uninterested in the top job as he claimed today. That’s another win from the girl who started with nothing… but now has everything!
