When it comes to Hallmark movies, Days of Our Lives’ Alison Sweeney (Sami) has starred in many of them. However, her latest one hits close to home and will likely forever hold a very special place in her heart. On Saturday, February 28, at 8:00 pm, Sweeney will appear as Hope Morgan in Romance at Hope Ranch and her real-life daughter will play alongside her as her character’s daughter. Viewers will watch as Hope sets out to fulfill her childhood dream of running a ranch and moves her family to the picturesque town of Ruidoso, New Mexico to revive the beloved Giddy Up Gala. Heartland’s Gabriel Hogan (Peter) will also star as Jack Bennett.

Of working with her daughter Megan, who wanted nothing more than to make her mom proud, Sweeney, also serving as an executive producer, shared how “sincere and sweet” their first scene had been together. Though she had approached Hope dropping her daughter off at college from an actor’s perspective, reality soon set in and she couldn’t help but think about how soon she’d being doing the same thing with Megan, who turned 17 on January 12. “It made me far more emotional than I expected,” she expressed.

Back on her own birthday, September 19, 2025, Sweeney posted a photo with her husband Dave Sanov and Megan and stated, “So grateful to have Dave and Megan surprise me with a birthday celebration on set!”
