BREAKING NEWS!!! Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley hits back at “sick” rumours over her personal life
Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has hit back at rumours regarding her personal life, with the actor describing the speculation as “sick”. Taking to social media, the star, who portrays Mandy Dingle on the ITV soap, said she was a victim of “fake news”.
Earlier this week, Riley appeared on Loose Women to discuss her IVF journey with partner Al Benković, with the actor sharing that parenthood wasn’t “meant to be” for the pair despite their best efforts (via Manchester Evening News).
Following the TV appearance, Riley took to Instagram on Thursday (22 January) to explain she had been subject to rumours that she was pregnant despite her previous words on Loose Women, with the actor explaining the situation.
In the video, the actor said: “Hi everybody – this is nobody’s fault other than fake news, clickbait and ‘oh my God, what world do we live in?’. I am 100% not pregnant. I have been inundated today with ‘congratulations’ about that.

“Do you know what makes this even more sick? It’s the fact that, only this week, I was on Loose Women talking about the fact that me and Al, my other half, couldn’t get pregnant. We tried IVF and it didn’t work.”
“But still, the very strange people out there feel that they need to clickbait and put out fake news that I am pregnant. Well I’m not. And to clickbait, AI and all this nonsense that the world is becoming, that’s yours,” she added as she raised a middle finger to the camera.
“I think if I was pregnant, I might have told people. Food for thought, when you read stuff, have a look at the person’s social media to see if they’ve said anything. If they haven’t, it’s probably fake news – just putting it out there.”
