Lives are on the line in a high-octane week for the soaps, particularly over in Emmerdale when two characters are feared dead after a devastating cliffside brawl.

John Sugden’s reign of terror in the ITV soap nears its end, with Aaron Dingle now aware of what his husband has been up to.

Next week, Robert Sugden gets involved and, as John loses his grip on the situation, he makes a move that will have life-changing consequences for all involved.

Over in EastEnders, the aftermath of Zoe Slater’s comeback continues to send shockwaves through the Square, while a familiar face in the form of Callum Highway’s father Jonno leads to conflict.

Coronation Street, meanwhile, sees a horrifying crash unfold on Betsy Swain’s big day, Hollyoaks focuses on Dillon Ray’s unexpected discovery about Ste Hay and Neighbours continues the drama for Holly Hoyland.

EastEnders

1. There’s one person on everybody’s lips – Zoe. As gossip spreads around Walford relating to her return, the Slaters try and find some normality and rebuild. But there’s still a lot of hurdles to overcome…

2. Callum arrests a man dishing out homophobic abuse to Eve and is stunned to realise it’s his estranged dad Jonno. Johnny offers some legal advice in the hope of finding out whether he intends to make amends with his son, but it soon transpires he’s only after money. Following an argument, he suffers a heart attack.

3. Nigel’s chickens are killed by foxes and an explosive row with Julie emerges. He’s suspicious of some mysterious phone calls she’s been making, and decides to head on a trip to the country with Phil. There they find a long-buried time capsule and are surprised by its contents.

4. Jack lies about his whereabouts on the night of the shooting, and Ravi says they were together. DS Spencer is suspicious and Jack says he was trying to recruit an informant, but later changes his story again.

5. The next day, Ravi is pleased that Jack is going to help him dispose of the gun. However, after a change of heart, he breaks into No. 5A to plant it in his bedroom.

Emmerdale

6. Aaron tries to make his escape from John as Robert accuses his brother of being a murderer. An altercation ensues and Robert is knocked unconscious, as Aaron makes an escape to search for Mack. John tries to frame Robert before jumps off a cliff, dragging Aaron with him. Chas is convinced that Robert is responsible and vows to make him pay.

7. Jacob surprises Sarah and Charity with an early ultrasound. Charity is fearful that the baby might not be theres, and looks on in horror as Sarah excitedly shows Ross the scan photo.

8. Vinny breaks down in tears to Kammy and confesses what Mike did to him. Filled with rage, Kammy wants to go to the police but takes matters into his own hands by signing up to the LGBTQ+ forum instead.

9. Gabby is saddened and fed up when she learns that neither Bernice or Kim are coming to her wedding, meaning that she’ll have nobody to walk her down the aisle.

10. Cain tells Vic they his clan want nothing more to do with Sugdens. Moira agrees with him and she fights her tears.

Coronation Street

11. Kevin and Abi return from holiday and he’s frustrated to find Carl working at the garage. Struggling to make the money to pay off Tracy, Carl tells Brody and Dylan he’s got a job for them – to steal a car.

12. On Betsy’s 18th birthday a vehicle comes hurtling in her direction and she lets out a scream. Lisa is rocked by the events of the day and someone is hospitalised.

13. George reveals to Dylan that he saw him driving the car, but he palms him off with an excuse and asserts that must be mistaken. Under pressure, Carl admits to Abi about his secret scheme.

14. Kit’s team find the stolen car, and reveals that it has been torched to cover their tracks.

15. Lily complains about having a stomach ache. David finds a pregnancy test in the bin and assumes that it could be Betsy’s, but is stunned when Sarah mentions that it could belong to Lily. Later, the owner of the test steps forward.

Hollyoaks

16.Diane hosts a fundraiser in The Dog in a bid to get Tony a top lawyer. Mercedes arrives and causes a scene, hurt that Tony never came forward of his own accord.

17. Donny wonders if the Osbornes are hiding something while Nancy pleads with him to do more to find Morgan. Later, Donny drowns his sorrows and ignores calls from Misbah.

18. Frankie receives a message from Charlie, asking to meet. Charlie, as viewers know, has taken Morgan but just what is it that he wants to talk to Frankie about? And will everyone find out what he did?

19. Dillon receives his 60-day sober chip and shares the news with Ste and Lucas. Wanting to thank Ste for the support he’s given him, Dillon wants to take him out for dinner. Ste encourages Dillon to lock away any inappropriate feelings and gives Lucas the day off to spend with him instead, but Dillon later uncovers Ste and Rex’s relationship.

20. Peri has a call on her laptop and Prince and Leela later find her upset.

Neighbours

21. Holly and Andrew sneak off to the city for some alone time and decide to treat one another like they’re single. They agree they both want to be together, but it’ll take time. Despite that, Holly makes a bold move and ends things with Max. Later, the two decide they’ll have to flee Erinsborough when their affair is outed.

22. Nicolette gives Cara the cold shoulder and Jane raises her suspicions. In the heat of the moment, Nic confesses to her mate that she has feelings for her. They clear the air and their hug is spotted by Remi, who encourages her wife to date someone else if she wants to.

23. Nell decides to leave Ramsay Street to join Toadie in Colac, but doesn’t want to leave on bad ground with JJ. After some tough words from Dex, he decides to host a last minute leaving party and Nell leaves for her new life on a happier note.

24. Scouting for information on the Linwells, Cara finds herself in a perilous situation when she’s locked in a warehouse. She makes contact with Andrew for backup when a dodgy fella, Ricky, makes a beeline for a box of guns.

25. Elle admits she hasn’t come to terms with Paul’s relationship with Terese and doesn’t trust her. Leo gives Terese the heads up, but things turn seriously awkward when the women are left alone in the house while Paul jets to New York to meet Andrew and Tash’s baby
