BREAKING NEWS!!! Coronation Street star marks career first as they admit ‘there’s a good buzz’
Actor Sam Aston has expressed his delight as he prepares to take to the stage for An Audience with Coronation Street, which recently saw one star hint at a return.
The ITV performer, who has portrayed Chesney Brown on the programme since 2003, forms part of the UK tour, which enables fans to get intimate access to some Corrie legends.
Prior to the London performance, which commences on Sunday (September 14), the 32-year-old reflected on his feelings regarding the much-awaited occasion.
In footage exclusively provided by ITV studios before tonight’s live tour, he remarked: “This is my West End debut! I’m absolutely buzzing to be fair. There’s a good buzz around the building and I think, yeah, we’re all excited!”
The performer also mentioned that he was anticipating having some enjoyment on stage alongside his fellow cast members, reports the Daily Star.

Another segment saw him elaborate: “We’ll have to see how it goes! I don’t think I’ll be too good at the quiz. But hopefully, there will be some good stories, some good laughs, and everybody enjoys themselves.”
On Sunday, Sam is joining his Coronation Street colleagues Jane Danson, who portrays Leanne Battersby, and Patti Clare who depicts Mary Taylor on the programme.
An Audience with Coronation Street is travelling across the UK this September and is being presented by This Morning’s resident soap specialist, Sharon Marshall.
Throughout each occasion, audiences will be offered the opportunity to witness five stars live on stage, alongside the surprise appearance of a cobbles icon.

The event’s description reads: “In the first half, you’ll enjoy an intimate and lively chat with the cast as they share backstage gossip, funniest on-set moments, and personal stories about life in Weatherfield.
“Ever wondered what really goes on between takes? Or which co-stars are best mates off-screen? This is your chance to find out!”
Fans can look forward to seeing familiar faces like Andrew Whyment, Jack P Shepherd, Jimmi Harkishin and Jodie Prenger.
Rob Mallard, Samia Longchambon and Simon Gregson are also confirmed to be joining the tour.

Unfortunately, actress Vicky Myers, who plays Lisa Swain, has had to pull out due to scheduling issues.
She posted: “I’m so, so, sorry to miss the Glasgow show for An Audience with Coronation Street on 24th September. Due to unavoidable last-minute schedule changes, I won’t be able to be there.
“Every possible scheduling option was explored, however it was just not possible I’m afraid. This was completely out of my control.
“In my place I am delighted that the legend and utterly gorgeous ‘Sunshine Sue Devaney’ will be joining the line-up instead – she is going to be amazing – she IS amazing!”
