As the Quartermaines Toast to Monica, Tracy Discovers an Intruder in the Family Crypt!
At the church, Michael asks everyone to join them back at Monica’s house to continue celebrating her life. That’s when Drew bursts in, and everyone stares at him. Everyone talks smack as he wheels himself up to the front to honor his mother, Monica.

When Drew reaches the head of the church, Jason lunges at him, but Tracy stops him. Tracy tells Drew that he is not related to Monica, and he was not invited here. As Drew rants that he has the right to be here, Tracy wheels him out and tells him, “Your presence is neither required nor desired; it’s detested.” Yet another fantastic performance by Jane Elliot!

Tracy returns to the church and announces, “That felt good.” She guesses now she has to say something nice about Monica. She cries how she’s tried to avoid it, and doesn’t know if she can do it, but she will try so she doesn’t regret it, because Monica meant that much to her.
Tracy Finally Speaks
Tracy finally speaks, thinking that when her brother first dated Monica, she thought he’d tire of her. She thought Monica was beneath them and bamboozled her entire family. She made it her mission to open their eyes about her, and during their many epic battles, she grew to respect and then love Monica.

Tracy goes on to say that Monica wasn’t just good enough to be one of them; she was the best of them, and she kept the family together. What started as a sister-in-law relationship ended with Monica becoming her sister, leaving her as the last one standing. She says not to worry, that house is Monica’s, as Alan gave it to her. Tracy promises it will always be Monica’s house as long as she lives.
The Family Gathers at Monica’s House
At the hospital, Martin learns Drew was kicked out of the memorial service by Tracy. Drew fumes that this isn’t right, and there was a time Monica loved him, and he loved her. He won’t let their relationship and memories be erased.

Martin tells him the family is angry over what happened with Michael and Willow. Drew says the Qs love a good fight, but in the end, family comes first, and they always figure it out. That means they don’t see him as family, so it’s clearer than ever he’s not a Quartermaine and never will be.
Laura stops by the Quartermaine house and tells Ned, Michael, and Tracy what a beautiful ceremony it was, and Monica likely got a kick out of Tracy tossing Drew out.

Dante finds Olivia working alone in the kitchen. She gave the staff the day off, so it was just family today. She hands her son a bacon-wrapped dates platter, as Gio loves them. She thinks that if he shows up at the house today, it will mean something, just as his appearance at the church did.

Dante brings the plate out to the living room and checks in with Brook Lynn. They discuss Gio coming to the service, and she admits his anger hurt more than usual today. Dante says they just have to keep showing up for him.
Lulu finds Jason on the porch and says everyone would understand if he wanted to take off. Jason says he needs to be here as there were so many times he wasn’t. Lulu says he’s always been here, and Monica always loved to tell stories about him to anyone who would listen. Monica kept his presence alive in the house when he wasn’t there.
What Is Drew Planning Next?
At the hospital, Drew rants that Michael was always the golden boy, and he thought Monica would get past her anger towards him, but Tracy likely kept spitting poison in her ear. He plans to tell the police that Michael shot him, which he hasn’t done so far, to spare Monica. Martin asks if he’s saying he remembered that night. Drew doesn’t remember a thing, but the police don’t know that, and he’ll stop at nothing to destroy Michael.

Out on the Quartermaine patio, Lulu checks in on her mom, who knew Monica the longest of everyone aside from her family. Laura says Monica was the person you could count on when things got tough, and she’s a better person for knowing her. They embrace.

Stella talks with Tracy in the foyer, telling her that her speech was terrific. Tracy admits she’s glad she gave it, but don’t tell her family. Stella tells her that she has a family that adores her, and it’s a family that keeps growing by the minute. Right on time, Gio walks in.
Gio Connects with Some of His Family
Tracy thanks Gio for coming. He says he wanted to offer his condolences, and he’s sorry about Monica. He wishes he had gotten to know her better. Tracy lets him know that Monica watched his Nurses Ball performance over and over. Gio admits he saw a different side of the family today, no drama, well, aside from Drew. But what else could Tracy have done? He says today made him proud to be a part of this family, and her great-grandson.

Back in the kitchen, Dante informs his mom that Gio is here, which Olivia feels means the boy knows deep down what is important. She hands him a plate to get out there and serve.

Dante heads to the living room, where Gio is already present. Before he can approach him, Gio nabs Ned to say he’s sorry for his loss. Ned thanks him and is glad he’s here now. When he’s ready — if he ever is — he’d like to connect with him.

Gio knows Neds is a musician too. Ned says not to tell Brook Lynn, but it’s clear he got his musical talent from him. They both laugh, and Brook Lynn smiles from a distance.

Liz speaks with Portia, and she says Jake is devastated that he couldn’t be here, but Michael and Tracy made the decision not to allow kids today since Scout wasn’t allowed to attend. Liz knows the kids had a strong bond with Monica, and they’ll carry it with them forever.
As everyone converses, Tracy ends up sneaking out quietly.
What Happened to Tracy?
In the kitchen, Gio listens as Michael, Ned, Olivia, and Jason share stories about Monica. Jason admits he just heard a story about Monica that he had never heard before, and Gio tells him to spill it.

In the living room, Brook Lynn is worried as Tracy has stepped out, and nobody has seen her.
Back in the kitchen, time has passed, and Olivia is cleaning. Ned tells her that she did a great job today. Olivia admits Tracy’s speech made her realize she and Monica were a lot alike, as neither was born a Quartermaine but became one. Ned assures her that she’s a Q through and through.
Chase begins to see people out. He and Brook Lynn speak briefly with Gio before he leaves. Brook Lynn is glad he came, and Monica thought he was great. She loved listening to him practice from her window. Gio says he’ll see them later and heads out. Chase tells Brook Lynn, “He showed up, baby steps.”

In the living room, Lucy asks Michael about the will, who will inherit the house, and whether it might be for sale. That’s Felicia’s cue to drag her out.
Lulu tells Michael she has to get going and was hoping to say goodbye to Tracy, but hasn’t seen her lately.

Liz finds Jason alone outside. He thanks Liz for coming today, and they embrace.

At the hospital, Drew is back in bed and relishes the thought of how much Jason will hate Michael going to prison. Martin thinks Tracy is the one who deserves his ire, and Drew agrees she deserves to suffer, too. Martin says Tracy will only suffer when the Quartermaine legacy crumbles, and who knows, they say karma catches up with everyone. Drew says he’ll have a front row seat when karma catches up with the Quartermaines.
In the Show’s Final Moments
The family gathers in the living room to toast to Monica, who wasn’t just one of them, but the best of them.

Alone, Jason heads upstairs, pauses on the staircase, and says, “I once told you that you never lost me. I won’t lose you either. You will always be my mom. I love you.”

Several flashbacks of Monica, Alan, and her kids over the years are shown.

At the hospital, Laura and the others place Monica’s photo on the memory wall right next to Alan’s.
As the Quartermaines Toast to Monica, Tracy Discovers an Intruder in the Family Crypt!

Tracy heads to the family crypt and finds the door open. She walks in and sees a woman standing by the graves. She asks, “Who are you and why are you trespassing?” The woman says, “You must be Tracy Quartermaine. I’ve waited a long time to meet you.” Tracy responds, “And who the hell are you?”
