EastEnders has welcomed a new character to Walford and fans think they have figured out her connection to Cindy Beale.

During Tuesday’s episode of theBBC soap (September 23), Jasmine (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) mysteriously arrived in Walford in search of employment and wasted no time in introducing herself to the locals.

She soon found herself at the Square’s local bar, The Albert, where she encountered Cindy (Michelle Collins) and enquired about potential job vacancies. Brash Cindy was quick to decline any help from Jasmine but quickly changed her mind.

Nevertheless, bar manager Elaine Knight (Harriet Thorpe) wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about the fresh recruit. Jasmine also managed to capture the attention of Oscar Branning (Pierre Moullier), who began making advances towards her.

On Thursday evening (September 25), Oscar tried to flirt with Jasmine before she turned the opportunity to join him for a date.

However, after Oscar pulled out all the stops to get her attention and stole clothing from the market stall in an attempt to persuade Jasmine to accompany him out for the evening.

The teenager’s plan worked as Jasmine made a surprise move and kissed Oscar in full sight while Cindy tried to prevent any romance from blossoming between the two.

But newcomer Jasmine has also been showing an interest in her new boss, Cindy’s life while the icon has warned her new bartender to stay away from the locals.

EastEnders fans are now convinced Jasmine is related to Jackie Ford, the criminal Cindy met while in prison, and is the reason for her random arrival in Walford.

During her time behind bars, Cindy turned into an informant and she dobbed Jackie into the police. This was the reason Cindy had to live under a false identity – Rose Knight, for all of those years.

Taking to X, one fan asked: “Jasmine is related to Jackie Ford’s family?? #eastenders”, while a second stated: “So that’s who Jasmine is, probably a relative to who Cindy snitched on #EastEnders.”

A third explained: “So, it’s been alluded to that Jasmine comes from a criminal family. And then she gave Cindy a very definite look as Cindy walked away… I have a feeling she’s related to Jackie Ford – Cindy’s cellmate she agreed to give evidence against. #EastEnders.”

Another pointed out: “I wonder if Jasmine could be something to do with Jackie Ford seeing as she seems intent on finding out more about Cindy #EastEnders.”

“To those of you that suspect that jasmine belongs to the criminal family of Jackie Ford, who Cindy snitched on all those years ago…maybe you guys are on to something…#eastenders”, added another.
