Sister Wives star Kody Brown SLAMMED for ‘sexist’ comments on Special Forces competition
Kody Brown has been slammed by fans over his latest ‘sexist’ comments on the season four premiere of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
The 56-year-old Sister Wives star – who made a shock confession about his sex life before first marriage to Meri Brown – opened up about why he joined the grueling competition series during Thursday’s episode.
Brown is known for appearing on the TLC reality show which follows his polygamist family. However, he is now currently only married to Robyn after the split from his three other wives: Meri, Janelle and Christine.
‘I’m gonna say this at the risk of sounding sexist, but I think men want to be respected and women want to be loved,’ he stated on the Fox show.
Brown continued, ‘I don’t care if you love me. I care if you respect me.’
After successfully finishing the first challenge, he also reflected on what makes a ‘good’ man and said, ‘To do the hard things, is to be good at being a man. And every once in a while, you need just proof of who you are.’

Social media users jumped to X to share their thoughts on his remarks, with one penning, ‘Excited for non #sisterwives fans to experience the misogyny and foolery of Kody Brown. #specialforcesfox #specialforces.’
Another said, ‘I hope Kody & his arrogant attitude are sent home on the 1st thing smoking. #special forces.’
‘Kody Brown being sexist as always #specialforcesfox,’ one typed, while an X user added, ‘Fox is giving Kody way too much screen time.’
A fan commented, ‘The anger I feel while watching Kody on #SpecialForces,’ and another wrote, ‘I’m sure that went over well.’
Elsewhere in the episode, Brown discussed what had inspired him to join Special Forces.
‘I want my children to see that I can do the impossible still,’ the TV personality explained, before adding, ‘Keep the old man out.’
Brown has welcomed 18 children amongst his wife Robyn and previous three wives as well.
Ahead of his appearance on the season four premiere, the reality star also revealed his wife Robyn’s reaction to him joining the competition series.

‘I’m gonna say this at the risk of sounding sexist, but I think men want to be respected and women want to be loved,’ he stated on the Fox show; seen earlier this month in L.A.

‘My wife, Robyn, when the show was introduced to us, she was like, “I don’t think I want you to do that and we’ve got to have a discussion,”‘ he recently told People.
However, the star added, ‘There ended up not being a discussion. It just became an assumption from then on.
‘I think when she saw, when I showed her or told her what it would be similar to or what I thought it would be like, she was like, “Oh, this is one of those things that you are going to do and I’m not going to be able to stop you.”‘
He also shared that his previous wives have not reached out in regards to him being on the Fox reality series.
Brown sees Special Forces as ‘a challenge’ and expressed that he ‘wanted to sort of put a pivot in my life, change the directions I was going…’
The TV personality is known for appearing on the TLC show Sister Wives – which first began airing in 2010.
It initially followed his marriage to wives Meri, Janelle, Christine as they also raised their children together.

Last month in August, Special Forces unveiled its list of 18 celebrity contestants competing in the Marrakesh-set fourth season of the quasi-military training reality show.
But fans were left aghast at the inclusion of ‘hate crime hoaxer’ Jussie Smollett, who wisecracked to his 4.5M Instagram followers: ‘It was at this moment I said… “I should’ve just done The Masked Singer.”‘
The disgraced actor swore he was attacked in 2019 by two Trump supporters, who turned out to be his former personal trainers the Osundairo Brothers.
They claimed he hired them to pour bleach on him and put a noose around his neck in order to boost his celebrity profile.
Smollett only served six days of his 150-day sentence for five counts of felony disorderly conduct before the Illinois Supreme Court reversed his conviction on November 21 citing his sweetheart plea deal with Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Fox.

Instead of paying the city of Chicago back its $120,106 in restitution, Smollett paid his $10K bond and completed 15 hours of community service before donating $50K to the Building Better Futures Center for the Arts and $10K to the Chicago Torture Justice Center.
Smollett has clearly bonded on set with his fellow contestants, Eva Marcille and Chanel Iman, who both offered him support in the comments of his announcement.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Teresa Giudice – whose own brush with the law involved an 11-month prison sentence for fraud – was selected to compete alongside the eldest of her four daughters, Gia Giudice.
Other contestants for season four include Kristin Cavallari’s ex-toyboy Mark Estes, Brittany Cartwright, Randall Cobb, Eric Decker, Jessie James Decker, Andrew East, Shawn Johnson East, Johnny Manziel, Ravi V. Patel, Christie Pearce Rampone, and Nick Young.
