OMG!! Mykelti Padron SLAMS Kody Brown AGAIN ahead of Special Forces & Sister Wives Premiere
Drama in the Brown family continues to boil over as Sister Wives gears up for its highly anticipated new season. And this time, it’s Christine Brown’s daughter, Mykelti Padron, who is stepping into the spotlight—unfiltered, unapologetic, and ready to speak her truth about her father Kody Brown, his fourth wife Robyn, and the lasting damage the TLC reality show has left behind.
Over the past several weeks, Mykelti has been active on her Patreon, reading excerpts from her mother Christine’s new book Sister Wife and offering her candid reactions. Fans have flocked to her Q&A sessions, eager to hear her perspective on the messy family dynamics that have played out both on-screen and behind the scenes. And let’s just say, Mykelti hasn’t held back—delivering bombshell after bombshell about Kody, Robyn, and the painful estrangement that continues to divide the family.
Mykelti Says Healing Is Impossible While the Show Continues
When asked whether reconciliation with her father was possible, Mykelti’s response was strikingly clear: not while the cameras are still rolling.
“I’ve said probably a million times now,” she explained, “the only way for any of my siblings—and myself especially—to even begin healing, to sit down with my dad, and maybe mend things with him and Robyn, is for the show to end.”
According to Mykelti, the process of filming has created an endless cycle of unresolved trauma. After shooting an emotionally charged scene, the family would go home and try to move forward, only to be forced back into those same painful moments during confessionals and interviews. And just when the wounds started to close, the episodes would air—reopening old scars and reigniting old fights.
“In that kind of environment, there’s no closure,” she admitted. “And without closure, there’s no real way to move on.”
Her words echo Christine’s own reflections in her book, where she admitted that reliving moments of heartbreak for the cameras only compounded the family’s struggles.

Estrangement, Misunderstandings, and the Weight of Blame
One of the saddest realities of the Brown family drama is that almost all of Kody’s children, with the exception of Robyn’s kids, are estranged from their father. And Mykelti—who was once considered one of Robyn’s closest allies—has now drawn a hard line in the sand.
Christine’s book even suggested that Kody and Robyn had severed ties with Mykelti herself. But Mykelti clarified that it wasn’t quite that simple.
“Technically, Dad and Robyn didn’t cut me off,” she explained. “It’s more that we fundamentally disagree on a lot of things, and because of that, we’re not in communication. They’re not thrilled with some of the choices I’ve made, and I’m not thrilled with some of theirs. It’s mutual. Right now, we’re just… not talking.”
Despite her attempt to soften the blow, her words still point to a fractured relationship filled with hurt feelings and unresolved conflict. And for Mykelti, the root of the pain runs deep.
“There’s so much trauma here, so much heartbreak,” she admitted. “And the saddest part is that the kids never asked for any of this.”
“He Cares More About Fame Than Family”
In one of her harshest criticisms yet, Mykelti accused her father of prioritizing fame and his TV persona over his actual role as a parent.
“In my opinion, Dad cares more about how he looks on television than he does about having real relationships with his kids,” she said bluntly. “He wants to be known as a TV star—that’s what matters most to him.”
That remark hits especially hard given that Kody is simultaneously preparing to appear on the grueling reality competition Special Forces. For many fans, it raises uncomfortable questions: How can Kody throw himself into another television project when his own children feel abandoned?
The Book, the Siblings, and the “I Hate Kody Club”
Mykelti also revealed that she doesn’t believe any of her siblings have read Christine’s book—at least not yet.
“I doubt any of them have even touched it,” she confessed. “Not the physical copy, not the audiobook, not even the reviews. But I’m going to recommend it. Because honestly, once you read it, you can’t help but join the ‘I Hate Kody Club.’ And that’s coming from me, someone who usually tries to stay in the middle of things.”
Her statement not only highlights the ongoing divide but also suggests just how raw and damaging Christine’s revelations in the book really are.
Truly’s Complicated Relationship With Her Dad
Another hot-button question fans wanted Mykelti to address was about her younger sister, Truely, and her relationship with Kody after the divorce.
Christine famously had to fight Kody in court for child support, and Kody even tried to impose restrictions on how Christine could talk about him in front of Truely. But as Mykelti put it, no amount of legal maneuvering could hide the truth from her sister.
“Truely is old enough to see for herself,” Mykelti said. “She can tell her dad hasn’t been around. She can form her own opinion just by looking at his actions—or the lack of them.”
As for whether Truely has spent time with Kody and Robyn since the split, Mykelti explained:
“She hasn’t stayed there overnight by herself. There was one visit we filmed together at Christmas, with me, Isabelle, and Truely all there. We stayed the night, cuddled up in the same bed—it was fine. But by herself? No. That hasn’t happened.”
The fact that Truely doesn’t spend one-on-one time with her father speaks volumes. For fans, it’s yet another painful reminder of just how fractured Kody’s relationships with his children have become.
The Role of Parents vs. Children
Perhaps one of Mykelti’s most powerful points was about responsibility in parent-child relationships.
“This should not fall on the kids,” she insisted. “It’s not the child’s job to maintain a relationship with their parents. That responsibility is on the parents—to make sure their kids feel loved and supported no matter what. And sadly, Dad and Robyn just haven’t done that.”
She didn’t mince words about her frustration, calling out the fact that in today’s world of smartphones and instant communication, there’s no excuse for parents not to stay connected with their kids and grandkids.
“They could text, call, email, even message on social media,” she said. “But they don’t. That’s on them.”
A Family Torn Apart—But Cameras Keep Rolling
Despite the broken bonds, the bitterness, and the painful absence of reconciliation, Kody and Robyn continue to appear on-screen, smiling for the cameras.
And with Sister Wives Season 20 premiering this Sunday, September 28th, on TLC, viewers are bracing themselves for another emotional rollercoaster. How much more of the Browns’ fractured family story will play out in front of millions of viewers? And how long can the children—who never asked to be reality TV stars—continue carrying the weight of this public unraveling?
For Mykelti, the answer is simple. If there’s ever going to be healing, the cameras have to stop rolling. But with ratings as strong as ever, and Kody seemingly more interested in fame than fatherhood, that day may never come.
