Bosses confirmed Lacey Turner will be exiting the show after 21 years, but promised that there is “plenty of more drama” to come before she leaves.
Lacey told the Sun earlier this year: “It’s time for myself and Stacey to take a rest and who knows what Stacey will get up to in her time away?”
Moments later the train exploded and Carmel died in the arms of her family members, promising to be their guardian angel.
Bosses also teased that Stacey would return in the future, adding that those behind the show will look forward to “planning [her] return” when Lacey “decides the time is right”.
