BIG SHOCK!!! Coronation Street’s Jodie caught out over controversial fling – but she has bigger plans
Jodie Ramsey will take a big step forward in her bid to come between her sister Shona Platt and her husband David on Coronation Street next week – via a passionate run-in with Carl Webster.
The new arrival has been raising eyebrows in Weatherfield since her debut in Corriedale earlier this year, and scenes next week will see her play a blinder in her bid to get David’s attention.
Carl and Jodie have been flirting for a while, and Jodie has already received warnings from both Shona and Abi Webster about his cheating ways.
But when David arrives home next week to find her in a state of undress with him, he’s horrified – and orders him out of the house.
His furious reaction is music to Jodie’s ears, though, and she’s delighted to feel like David’s protective of her. Is it a matter of time before she makes a move on her half-sister’s husband?

A Corrie source tells Digital Spy: “David’s shocked to see Jodie and Carl together. Shona previously warned Jodie off Carl – and everyone thought that she’d taken on board the many horror stories about his reputation as a love rat.
“Jodie doesn’t seem too bothered after being caught out, though – she seems to believe David’s protective reaction is good news for her bigger plans! How far will Jodie go to drive a wedge between the Platt family?”
These scenes will air next Thursday (19 February), and won’t be the only time Jodie courts controversy in the week ahead.
Spoilers reveal that she’ll also be getting on the wrong side of Brian Packham and Rita Tanner, after they sack David’s daughter Lily from her paper round.

Lily is caught binning newspapers rather than delivering them, and when Jodie urges her to say sorry to Brian, the youngster instead makes matters worse – and Brian’s reaction leaves Jodie wanting to get her own back.
“Jodie knows exactly what she’s doing,” our insider said. “At first, Jodie takes her niece to the Kabin to apologise, but Lily is unrepentant. Brian is far from impressed, and his treatment of Lily leaves Jodie raging.
“Later, she seizes the chance to stir the pot by turning Hope Dobbs against Brian and Rita in a bid to get the youngster to do her dirty work…”
