EMMERDALE and Coronation Street fans have compared the Corriedale crossover episode to a horror film – pointing out a huge issue with the special.

Last night’s historic episode saw many residents from Coronation Street and Emmerdale left injured after a brutal multi-vehicle pile up.

Aaron Dingle and his serial killer husband John Sugden sparked the chaos when they collided head-on with Becky Swain’s car as she attempted to flee to Spain with her family.

Carl Webster’s speeding exit from sister Debbie’s wedding saw him crash into the cars and then drag dementia-sufferer Debbie into the driving seat and try to flee – before passing out on the roadside.

Mackenzie Boyd crashed through a field with pregnant wife Charity, but found himself impaled to his seat by a metal pole.

And fans were left stunned when Weatherfield resident Billy Mayhew was killed in a minibus explosion.

While there was certainly no shortage of drama, viewers rushed to social media to ask how all of the drivers managed to miss the growing wreckage.

One said: “What in the Final Destination is this pile up?”

Someone else wrote: “So the viewers had a vision about a Final Destination pile up and this is exactly what we got.”

Another commented: “Ah, so #CorrieDale is actually a three way crossover between Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Final Destination.”

And a fourth added: “How did they all miss the growing pile up of cars?”

The other big death in the episode came as killer John finally paid for his crimes as the show sparked a new whodunnit.

His scheme to keep Aaron and Robert apart failed and the pair got engaged at the roadside – shortly before Robert set off to hunt John down once and for all.

He was joined by Cain Dingle who picked up a very large stick to help.

In the woodland they ran into Kit Green who was knocked out by John before the brothers found and the shotgun went off – shooting Cain in the stomach – but he still got up and went on to hunt John down.

Later the second big death was revealed as Victoria Sugden was seen standing over John’s body in the woods, but who killed him remains a mystery.

Throughout the episode a man in a hooded raincoat could be seen with a woman tied up in the back of his van.

The woman knocked herself out on a tree while fleeing him, and was found to have a distinctive tree tattoo – that was also seen on Corrie’s Shona Platt, hinting at a connection between the pair.

But the big shock came when the man’s identity was revealed as Graham Foster.

Graham famously died in Emmerdale in 2020 when he was murdered by Pierce Harris, his body left to rot in woodland in a huge whodunnit mystery.

He was seen in the hospital having got Joe Tate there, and Joe appears to have seen a glimpse of Graham before he slipped away.
