Next week on Coronation Street, Maggie plots to get Eva out of Ben’s life for good after she makes a shocking discovery. Meanwhile, Lisa receives some worrying news about Carla, while someone is left for dead following the events of Christmas Day.

1. Eva struggles with her guilt

Meanwhile, Carl tells Maggie that Eva’s credit card was found in one of the hotel bedrooms and she immediately assumes Eva is up to no good.

Later, Adam finds Eva upset in the backyard and comforts her. Eva confesses that she hates herself for lying to Ben about something in her past, but Adam assures her she had no choice.

Maggie clocks their heart-to-heart…

2. Maggie jumps to conclusions

Adam suggests that Eva write her feelings down in a letter to help process her guilt. When Alya arrives, Adam hands a jewellery box to Eva and asks her to hide Alya’s Christmas present.

Having watched Eva hide the box, Maggie searches Eva’s handbag but is disappointed to discover a necklace engraved for Alya.

When she puts the box back, Maggie discovers the letter and is stunned by its contents. Putting a plan into action, Maggie invites Adam and Alya for Christmas dinner.

3. Will struggles to hide his jealousy

Daniel and Bertie visit the Rovers with a gift for Megan. When Maggie insists they stay for lunch, Will fumes.

During lunch, Will tries to mask his fury at Daniel’s presence.

4. Ben receives a shocking gift

Maggie bites her tongue as Ben and Eva exchange gifts.

Meanwhile, Eva is panicked when she realises her letter is missing and tells Adam. Adam takes Eva’s hand to reassure her but Ben notices their intimacy.

After lunch, Maggie hands out the secret Santa gifts and Ben is rocked by what he receives.

5. Evelyn makes a grisly discovery

Following the events of Christmas Day, Evelyn is horrified to find someone attacked and left for dead in the ginnel.

6. Becky covers her tracks

Lisa is gutted when she receives a text from Carla informing her that she wants to be removed from the mortgage. When Lisa sees Carla’s latest post on social media, she fears Carla has moved on with her life.

Later, Becky is shaken when Lisa reveals that Costello is showing signs of improvement and is being moved to a rehab clinic.

Becky intercepts Costello at the hospital, armed with Lisa’s police badge. What will she do?

7. Becky makes her move

With Lisa down in the dumps, Becky urges her to forget Carla and enjoy Christmas.

Later, Lisa complains of tension in her neck and Becky offers to give her a massage. As Becky massages Lisa, she starts to kiss the back of her neck.

Becky tells Lisa there’s nothing stopping them from returning to their old life together. How will Lisa respond?

8. Roy shares his worrying news with Lisa

Lisa reaches out to Carla and sends a text admitting that she’d do anything to win her back.

On Christmas Day, Lisa masks her discomfort when Becky kisses her neck again.

Later, Lisa is troubled when Roy informs her that Carla never checked into her hotel in Lanzarote.

9. Carl receives bad news

Carl continues his manipulation of Debbie and transfers more money from her account.

At Ronnie’s stag party, Carl reels when Ronnie reveals he has booked an appointment with a solicitor as Debbie wants him to have power of attorney and take care of her finances.

Later, Carl’s face falls when he receives a phone call.

10. Debbie is a no-show at her party

Ronnie tells Debbie all about the hen party her friends have planned for her, but it’s clear she’s not into the idea.

As Debbie’s friends await her arrival, Bernie receives a call. Debbie reveals she’s in Leeds and won’t be attending.

The group decides to keep celebrating in her absence, but Abi rushes out after a call from Carl.

11. James threatens to tell Abi the truth

Carl tries to smooth things over with James by admitting that he got some bad news and regrets the text he sent him. Still upset, James threatens to revel the truth about their relationship to Abi.

Later, James has a change of heart and spends the afternoon with Carl.

Meanwhile, Abi takes Alfie to visit Kevin. She turns down the offer to stay and watch a film and decides to rush back to Carl instead.

Carl is too preoccupied with James to notice Abi’s attempts to contact him. Is Abi about to uncover their affair?

12. Theo plans Christmas with Todd

Theo asks Todd if he’s looking forward to Christmas, but Todd changes the subject and begins talking about work.

Irritated by Todd’s response, Theo later returns home with stacks of shopping bags and announces he’s invited all their friends for Christmas dinner.

13. Theo loses his temper

George, Christina, Summer and Glenda join Todd and Theo for Christmas dinner. When Summer gifts Todd tickets to an Andrew Scott retrospective and jokes that Todd fancies him, Theo tries to hide his anger.

While their guests play charades, Theo sees red and smashes a glass on the floor.

Later, Theo surprises Todd with a minibreak but the dates clash with Summer’s gift. What will Todd choose?

14. Gail makes a Christmas cameo

On Christmas Day, David complains to Shona about a missing present from Gail that she insists has been delivered.

Later, the family gather round to watch Gail’s Christmas message.

15. Sally plans give Joanie and Shanice a special Christmas

Aware that Joanie and Shanice will be missing Lou, Sally and Brody enlist the girls’ help to give their mum a message.

The group arrive at prison and wave a banner in front of a security camera in the hope Lou will see it.

Later, Sally and Brody are thrilled to realise their plan worked when Shanice receives a call from Lou.
