HOTTES NEWS TODAY!!! Coronation Street’s Kym Marsh, 49, feels more ‘brave and powerful’ than ever in raunchiest role to date with scenes so provocative they were cut

Kym Marsh has taken on her raunchiest role to date and feels more ‘brave and powerful’ than ever as she stars in a new drama.

The actress, 49, is best known as the beloved barmaid Michelle Connor in Coronation Street.

But she has now taken on a much more seductive role as Amanda in the Channel 5 Australian drama Imposter.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, Kym said filming the the sex scenes felt empowering.

‘I went into it and I was a bit like, “I’m 49 years old, I’m not as body confident as I used to be” because as you get older, you’ve got that kind of thing going on. And I’m on screen kind of barely dressed.

‘I feel like it was a brave moment for me… I felt quite powerful at that point, and then doing these scenes, things I’ve never done before, I just felt really, really good about it.’

She added some of the sex scenes were so risque they had to be cut: ‘There was quite a lot of stuff that I believe they’ve had to tone down. I spoke to the executive working on it and he said, “Hey, you did it so convincingly”, and I was like… thanks.’

In one scene, Kym is reportedly seen with her on-screen lover with his head between her legs to reenact a sex scene.

She credited the cast and crew for making her feel safe and comfortable throughout filming the vulnerable scenes.

While the mother-of-three can’t wait for the series to hit screens, she is less excited about her children seeing the racy episodes.

But her son David has reassured her he will fast-forward past any sexy scenes.

Meanwhile Kym revealed that her mother cannot wait to get stuck into the show, which will be released on Monday at 9pm.

Kym will share the screen with Dani Minogue and Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne.

Imposter is said to be centred around a murder at a seaside resort.

Jackie will play matriarch Helen, whose refusal to sell her seaside hotel sparks a dramatic family feud with her three adult children.

The series marks Jackie’s first non-Neighbours role in more than 30 years.

The plot thickens when Amanda, played by Kym, arrives claiming to be Helen’s long-lost daughter given up for adoption years ago.

As Amanda integrates into the family, doubts arise about her true identity, leading to a gripping tale of deception and betrayal that culminates in murder.
