Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt confirms missing character in explosive Corriedale crossover
Emmerdale star Dominic Brunt has confirmed one missing character from the soap’s upcoming crossover with Coronation Street. The anticipated event is due to take place next month, with a number of characters already confirmed. Among them are Emmerdale’s Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) and Liam Cavanagh (Johnny McPherson), alongside Weatherfield’s own Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
However, don’t expect to see Paddy Dingle among the action. Dominic revealed on Loose Women this week that his character will be sitting out Corriedale.
“I’m fuming because I’m not in it,” he said. “I’d read the scripts and it’s incredible. It was weird having all the Corrie lot in our canteen, and like Claire Sweeney nicking your chips!”
However, he did praise the episode, teasing: “Honestly, it’s gonna be amazing. It’s a really, really good episode.”

The soaps have been hinting at the event recently with little Easter eggs, while a trailer has teased a big multi-vehicle crash that will be part of the storyline.
“Corriedale is just the start of the drama as the aftermath of the crash gives rise to fear, murderous intent, death, destruction, closely-guarded secrets and lies,” the logline has teased. “Life in Emmerdale and Weatherfield will never be the same again!”
Fans have also had the chance to get in on the action, with an interactive twist allowing viewers to vote on which characters they want to see on screen together.

Teasing the episode recently, Vicky Myers said: “When I read the script and found out how two worlds collide, who is involved and how the characters interact, not to mention the impact the events of the night will have… Wow. It’s going to be unmissable.”
Miller added: “I am made up that Aaron is in the Corriedale episode. Originally from Manchester, Coronation Street has always been an iconic show in our house just as much as Emmerdale. So to cross them both over is a great idea.”
