Emmerdale confirms Celia’s twisted new plan for April – but is she losing control?

Celia Daniels has a twisted new plan for youngster April Windsor in Emmerdale – but has she taken it too far as she loses her grip on those closest to her?

Since arriving in the Dales, the soap’s new villain has wasted no time weaving her web of terror, forcing April and Dylan Penders into dealing drugs for her and her son, Ray Walters.

They manipulated April into accepting other jobs, including having sex with different men. April couldn’t go through with it though, which led to her getting into an altercation with a man named Callum, believing she killed him.

However, Celia and Ray kept her in the dark about the fact that Callum was alive and well, holding the fact that she may be a murderer over her head to keep her in line.

April found Callum’s address on social media and, wracked with guilt, paid a visit during tonight’s episode to post a Christmas card through the front door, narrowly missing Callum arriving on his doorstep.

He called Ray to inform him that they have “a problem”, forcing Ray to confront April and urge her to control herself, or he will have to “get serious” again.

Ray, who has been drifting further and further from Celia’s clutches, failed to tell his mother about April’s actions, but was forced to reveal all when she caught him on the phone to Callum.

Enraged, Celia told Ray that they can easily get rid of April and have “other kids they can control”. Celia ordered Ray to move April away from the village, isolating her from her family to “break her spirit”.

It comes ahead of tomorrow night’s explosive special episode, which will see April finally reveal all to dad Marlon Dingle and stepmum Rhona Goskirk.

They are devastated by what April says and are keen to get the police involved to protect their family, but when Celia turns up at their home unannounced, they are put in serious danger.

Speaking ahead of the tense scenes, Celia actor Jaye Griffiths said: “April telling Marlon and Rhona everything means that Celia will have to explain to them in no uncertain terms what their new reality is.

“April will have brought this upon her own family – Celia warned her what would happen. Celia doesn’t make threats, empty or otherwise, she just states realities and consequences. And the consequence of this is, ‘Now I own your family.’ They should very, very much be scared.”

We also know, however, that Celia’s days are numbered in Emmerdale and that the dastardly character will be leaving the soap – but will she be the only one?
