SEASON 3 ALREADY BREWING?! After 1923’s record-shattering premiere, could Paramount+ really revive the “final” season?

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser return as the fan-favorite couple—joined by Oscar nominee Annette Bening

A Love Story Still Riding Hard

The wait is over—Yellowstone’s long-rumored spin-off focused on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler is officially happening, and it now has a title: The Dutton Ranch.

Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser will reprise their beloved roles in the new series, which remains set in the present-day timeline. The spin-off comes from Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan, with production once again handled by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.

But the Duttons won’t be alone on the land this time…

What The Dutton Ranch Is About

According to Deadline, the series will follow Beth and Rip as they embrace life on their 7,000-acre ranch, fiercely defending the peace they fought for in the final chapters of Yellowstone. The story will also center around their adopted son Carter (played by Finn Little) as they guide him into manhood under the rough-and-ready Dutton code.

Here’s the official logline:

“The Dutton Ranch, home to Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, is a testament to the peace they sought, fought for, and nearly died for. With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he’s supposed to be.”

Annette Bening Saddles Up

In a surprise casting move, Annette Bening has joined the series as Beulah Jackson—described as “a powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas.”

Bening, a four-time Oscar nominee, brings major star power to the series. Her recent accolades include a Best Actress nomination for Nyad (2023), and she’ll soon appear alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in Apple TV+’s Lucky. Known for roles in American BeautyThe Kids Are All Right, and 20th Century Women, Bening’s character is expected to be a formidable rival—or uneasy ally—for Beth Dutton.
