EastEnders spoilers for next week have revealed more about Jean Slater’s involvement in Zoe Slater’s stalker ordeal, as it seems someone else is also tormenting her

Viewers will see EastEnders’ Jean Slater confess to targeting Zoe Slater next week, but there’s a twist.

While Lily Slater worries about her grandmother Jean’s mental health, she’s shocked to find out Jean is behind some of the torment Zoe faces. It’s what she says next though that will no doubt leave viewers very suspicious.

Someone has been harassing Zoe for months with sinister messages, phone calls and even spying on her. Next week things take another scary turn when a worrying message is revealed in a window of The Vic, at the Christmas lights switch-on.

But the culprit is rumbled, as Lily has caught them in the act. Jean is forced to confess when Lily reveals to her that she saw her stage the message.

Jean doesn’t even deny it as she tells her granddaughter she wants Zoe out of Walford. She doesn’t even feel guilty, and has no remorse for her actions, leaving Lily horrified.

But as Lily questions her behaviour, Jean insists that the light-up threat was the one and only thing she’s done to scare Zoe away. So who has done the rest of the tormenting?

Of course Jean could be lying, and she could be the person behind it all. But the spoilers suggest someone else is to blame for what’s gone on with Zoe, despite Jean’s necklace being found at the scene of one of the other incidents.

It seems we will finally find out this December who it is, as spoilers teased the plot reaches a shocking point. Zoe will face more harassment, but it leads to shocking discoveries for her mother Kat Moon.

Whatever Kat finds out, as secrets are out in the open, will test her motherly love. So who is out to get Zoe and why? Why are they so desperate to get her out of Walford, “hellbent” as described by the show?

Perhaps we are finally set to find out who it is and what their motive is, and what Zoe has done to spark the torment. It certainly seems she might have done something given the spoiler suggests that while Kat remains fiercely protective of Zoe, the search for answers unlock some shocking things that have been hidden.

There’s also an emphasis on Zoe desperately trying to find her long-lost son. So will we finally find out what happened to him, and is it linked to her troubles in Walford? More will be revealed on the BBC soap very soon.
