Coronation Street‘s Kevin Webster decides to turn his house into a pub next week, after he feels cast out of his local boozer by Abi and Carl. As his insecurities rise to the surface, how will his friends feel about the way he’s acting?

Kevin is currently trying to rebuild his life after his wife Abi ended their relationship in favour of a risky new romance with his brother Carl. Tensions have been at boiling point ever since – and Kevin can’t bear seeing the pair looking loved-up together.

“Between Eva chucking him out for barneying with Carl a few weeks ago, and seeing Abi sock Tracy square in the face in upcoming scenes, it’s safe to say that poor Kev has had enough of The Rovers,” our Corrie spy explains.

“He’s sick of seeing Abi and Carl flaunt their relationship in his face and is getting concerningly comfortable staying home alone with a bag of crisps – so, he decides that the solution is to bring the pub to him!”

Inviting his mates Steve McDonald and Dev Alahan round, Kev shows off his recently delivered impulse purchases of a dart board and a barrel of beer, and explains that he plans to recreate his own pub so that he can avoid his love rat brother and cheating wife.

“Miserable Steve doesn’t look too convinced, but Dev seems to back his friend’s spontaneous idea,” our insider continues.

“What Kev really needs right now is his friends around him, and creating a pub in his home seems like a great way to let loose without any potential upset – we just hope he’s licensed!”

Could Kevin’s pub project be exactly what he needs to bring him out of the dark place he’s stuck in and help him move on from Abi? Or is this doomed to flop, like his recent poker night?
