Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled why Becky Swain may have been at the hospital all those weeks ago, as details about her missing years remain unanswered.

Those who follow the ITV soap are desperate to understand what forced the character into hiding, and why she wasn’t able to return until she walked back into her former wife Lisa Swain’s life back in September.

It was fair to say that Lisa was shocked when Becky turned up in the living room of her new family home, No.6 Coronation Street, on their daughter, Betsy’s, 18th birthday, despite her being led to believe that she had died in the line of duty.

Now, Becky isn’t making things easy for Lisa’s new partner, fiancee Carla Connor, with her clear intention to get her family back together, even though Lisa can’t seem to see what her former partner is up to.

Last week, Becky, who claimed she had been in witness protection in Spain during her years away, has claimed she is being watched and that her flat is no longer safe, leaving Betsy to want her to stay at No.6 with them.

While Carla doesn’t believe that Becky is in danger of the gang she claims are “out to get her”, Lisa is seemingly torn between her past and her future, and doesn’t seem to disbelieve Becky’s version of events.

Viewers saw her meeting with DI Costello, who was involved in faking Becky’s death, and he warned her that if she doesn’t leave for Spain soon, he’ll have her killed like he did Tia Wardley, the woman who was used to help fake her demise.

But Corrie fans have been thinking about when Becky was first seen in Weatherfield, having bumped into none other than Roy Cropper at the hospital as he went to get his back pain investigated.

And they believe they have worked out why Becky was there in the first place, after they saw Logan Radcliffe seemingly attacked in prison for giving Carla the name ‘Tia Wardley’ during her visit to him in prison.

Then she went to the hospital and visited Logan, I’m sure of this.. That was the day she met Roy at the hospital.”

The original poster then commented: “No bc this has actually just blown my mind.. i hadn’t even considered that becky was at the hospital to visit logan to tell him to keep quiet?!?!?!”
