Zoe Slater’s stalker strikes again in EastEnders next week – and this time they leave behind a vital clue that may reveal their identity. When the Slaters find a threatening message graffitied in The Vic’s barrel store, Zoe is intrigued by the discovery of an earring that’s been dropped nearby. Soon, she’s convinced that if she can find the owner, she’ll be able to finally unmask the person who has been making her life hell for weeks…

The week begins with Alfie still suspicious that Zoe herself is behind the recent spate of attacks that seem to be aimed at her.

So, when the tormentor turns up the heat by posting a series of bad reviews online for The Vic (and naming Zoe in them!) Alfie is convinced this is just another of Zoe’s tricks.

However, with Kat genuinely concerned over Zoe’s safety, Alfie decides to appease her by agreeing to let tech whizz Freddie see if he can track down where the posts came from, hoping it will lead them to the stalker.

There’s no denying that Zoe’s dramas have had a huge impact on life at The Vic, and Alfie decides enough is enough. Sick of the chaos Zoe is bringing to the family, he demands leave the pub.

Loyal Kat is quick to defend her daughter, but as a standoff ensues, the trio are interrupted by a noise downstairs. When they rush down to the barrel store, they’re horrified to see the scrawled message threatening them in no uncertain terms.

“Alfie realises that Zoe can’t be behind this one as she was upstairs with them the whole time when it happened,” points out our source. “He makes a heartfelt apology to Zoe for doubting her, and the family reunite.”

Our insider adds: “Soon, the discovery of the earring gives them all a new focus as they realise it could expose just who is doing this to them.”
